Im going all in on the G2 and Bruticus sets. I think ill play the waiting game with the Computron sets. We dont know if the Hasbro box set deco of scattershot will be the same red as the scattershot out now. Also I found it unusual that theyre breaking up the computron parts in 2 sets but not the G2 or Optimus Maximus set. I have a feeling they are selling the feet/hands separately to accommodate the Dawn of the Predacus set which obviously doesnt need a computron chest and head. Im sure theyre just waiting to get their hands on G2 Menasor and the TFCC 4.0 sets so they can match the colors. I love these sets. Hasbros stock hands/feet suck. Just because it is a kids toy doesnt mean it has to look like one. Thank you Perfect Effect for doing Combiner Wars justice.

Agreed. The PE kits have made me enjoy CW much more than I otherwise would have.


As for the kits themselves, PC-11 and PC-03G (if I ever get G2 Superion, which I hope to do) are bought, PC-10 (I wish they just made an adapter for Shockwave, so he'd still look a bit like a pistol) and PC-12 (depends on how good the new hands and feet in the box set are) are under consideration, and I don't care about PC-08W (as OpMax looks good enough with PC-01 and the legs extended).

Do note that the KOs don't transform into weapons. Also be aware that by supporting KOs instead of official product you are actively contributing towards the death of the industry- especially for third party companies due to their small size.

That statement is flawed on both accounts.

Firstly, those feet transform into weapons. Please state your evidence to the opposite with a link to evidence. Here is an actual quote from the feedback on the same link:

Also, no one here is supporting KOs over official products since the products being KO'd are NOT OFFICIAL.

We are in the non transformers part of the forum, the word official doesnt exist here. I would also much preffer you didnt polute this thread with misinformation.

These are high quality KOs that get the job done really well. The only downside is that the seller does not do combined shipping so you must pay for full shipping for each set. Still comes out way cheaper than the Perfect Effect ones of course. If Perfect effect doesnt find it fair, let them sue. It seems you can buy with confidence and if you get them, please share your feedback hee along with some pics.

Well if they transform that's fair enough; I'd heard from people that they didn't, though it's possible that was a different KO set.

I believe that there are no rules or ethics to follow once something is unofficial (Not HasTak). It's all companies profitting off someone else's property, if anyone finds it unfair, let them sue! Glass houses and all that.

Anyway, back on topic:

The Bruticus set looks great, especially those cannons. I don't much care about the Shockwave upgrade as if I somehow get hold of Shockwave I won't be displaying him with Bruticus (I'm intending to give him the shotguns from my retired FP Colossus set).

The G2 Superion set is good too, though I have no interest in G2 Superion personally. Now we just need G2 Menasor and Bruticus upgrades.

The Battle Core upgrade looks awesome in combined mode, it's just a shame that it turns into such a complete mess in robot and vehicle modes. Still...that combined mode DOES look nice...

The Computron upgrade is interesting, and the hands and feet look nice, but I get the feeling that chestplate is just going to be doing diddly squat when it isn't being a chestplate. Also, it seems a bit odd to be making an upgrade for him when the confirmed Computron boxset isn't even out yet. Slow down, PE! There might be something else that needs fixing!

I don't know about you guys, but I'd like to see Perfect Effect make some whole combiners of their own (preferably the ones Hasbro aren't willing to do like Monstructor, Piranacon or Abominus) using their hands and feet, and with CW port systems for maximum swapping fun.

I'll be getting this set eventually, but don't you think the greys in that set are too dark for Vic? The greys in the Battle Core set I think would be more suitable

I'm not sure which ones are 09, but I've got nearly every set of the CW series. I can say that my Bruticus set (which is think is 09) is awesome! I also just got the set for Battle Core OP, which are lighter. When I get Victorion, I can try to snap some pics with each color for you. Indeed, the hands are much better on these recent sets over the original spindly ones. And they still make decent looking guns. My Generations Nightbeat is currently wielding the hands as guns, and they look pretty good.

I have the G2 Superion set, with the replacement head. I should take a pic in comparison with the two Superions and the differences in the two sets...

I am not sure why they would make it light-up and neither take pictures of it lighting up, nor say it does, so I'm not surprised. Doesn't really matter much though. I would hope though that the plastic can glow in the dark at least but that probably won't happen either.
