DIC's GI Joe series will be on DVD after Christmas. Deep down I hope there is a complete boxset to go along with my other Shout boxsets.

A DIC boxset. I already have the lockerbox boxset for GI Joe so I don't need to double dip on that.

I have it too and don't want to double dip either.

I found some new Joes for the first time in forever about two weeks back. I found an Iron Grenadier, Steel Battalion, the reg'lar Cobra trooper, a Viper and a Hazard Viper, and I bought them all.

Little while ago I found the Black Dragon (I think...) VTOL and had it in my hands, but passed on it at the time. Next time I see it I'm going to purchase it though.

So what does everyone think of the BBTS 7-packs

I saw a few "G.I Joes Renegades toys at a local target store this Thurday. I saw the tiny 3 inch ones that fit on the pegs in the store.

Has anyone else spotted G.I Joe renegades toys at stores yet?

I guess since it's easier to create G.I Joe toys. that's why their on store shelves/pegs faster than TF Prime toys.

Seen them and have bought them. GI Joes are made from shared tooling; meaning several figures will use the same arms, legs, etc. that's why they're out quicker.

I've seen the Renegades figures popping up lately. I don't like the cartoon look so I'm passing on them.

Yeah,I agree,I remember that extremly awful G.I Joe "EXTREME" cartoon & toy line. I remember seeing the surfer dude or rock star guy with cheetor's voice.

I was thinking more about Sigma 6, which I liked. They were going to try an animated style with these figures until the fans spoke up.

I'm a bit back and forth on the Renegades figures. They look fine, just not enough to really sell me. I also don't like how CC turned out. His uniform is too grey, and his eye is blue instead of red.

Saw a great Cobra Commander with a Kid Viper at LA's Comikaze Expo.



I didn't realize there was Cobra's Finest, GI Joe's cosplay group equivalent to Star Wars' 501st. There's a Southern California chapter, Cobra Nightwatch 3rd Infantry Division. Fun stuff.

Here's my review of the new Renegades Firefly. I know the sound is a little low as I'm trying a new review layout.

Let me ask you without going into specifics, cost wise is it cheaper than buying a complete one?

Hard to say. This me the largest deck plate complicates things as it's too big to be sent out here via regular mail. Generally if you can find a cheap one complete then that's the ideal.

Other than that, it'll have cost about $600-800 to do up this way (currently missing the 2 side supports, the bow ladder, the purge valve, the y-pins and the fantail railing)

Comics Alliance posted a link to a GI Joe fan film Operation: Red Retrieval.

There are parts that I think work really well.

It's interesting that the filmmakers take cues from Batman: Dead End with the use of Predator and other characters.

There are parts though I think don't work well. "What's on Joe Mind?" will be interviewing him this Tuesday.
