Please read! Yes, this is just pack 1 of 5, this first pack is the most expensive because the size of the parts and amount of parts( 8 parts total), other part kits (chrome leg armors, scorpion legs, weapons, etc..) will vary in price depending on complexity and size but nothing should be as pricey as this one.

We are producing these using small-run tooling because the figure they go on is so limited, we do not plan on making very many of these kits.

Dammit, I was just coming to post that! But wow, they're back!

Preordered with a quickness! But I'm wondering about all those additional pieces showing. Will these ALSO be included in the pack? That would be a damn good value.

And, hooray for Headrobots!!! Now, where's my damn Mindwipe upgrade kit? I still want it.

Awesome news to here that HR are back , Might just get that Ronin kit yet

Personally i'm not a fan of this figure so the kit does nothing for me , But i'm happy that you guys can pimp this thing up

-Two moveable Claws with new arm mounts
-New neck mount for a flusher sitting head

seems like they will be releasing other sets with other accessories down the line. Kind of like what Crazy Devy did back in the days.

That's **** for $45 at that price it should have been the full set , i mean look at that evasion prime upgrade only $45 .

I'm holding out hope that this is simply a case of a clerical error or misunderstanding. This IS the first time we're hearing about the kit and this is the first retailer offering it. Possible that details have been lost in the process. Deep breathes and patience, friends.

I too shall wait for details, but if this is it, just the claws and new neck, then I'm canceling too. This is too little product for way too much money.

i find it odd they would picture twice the items that are actually included. we'll see.

to me, it was worth it for a neck joint. but im definetly the minority

The Mindwipe and Highbrow sets are pretty outdated compared to Fansproject's beautiful takes on the characters.

I preordered this based on the knowledge that this set was created a couple years back for Black Zarak. It also featured a base mode and a headmaster. It was to be priced at around $150 and a poll was taken (on Facebook I believe) as to how many people would be willing to buy it at that price. The numbers weren't good enough to justify going forward with production. I actually bought a Black Zarack because I thought it was going forward. The owner of Megatoyfan or someone in his inner circle owns the rights to the mold. They probably got smart and decided to cash in before Maketoys and Perfect Effect put out their versions. After that happens, this set will be an afterthought so the clock is ticking. I'm still on board if they release the whole set as one piece. But if they try to pull that Crazydevy crap, Ill probably pass and buy the inevitable KO's.

Think this looks like a kit A and Kit B, Possibly even Kit C. If your spending $45 times Three kits, That totals $135. Then their is the cost of 2014 Botcon Scorponok that cost $100 in the gift set or worse $250 plus right now on Ebay. Think if you've got all of this money might as well spend it on MT Pandinus or PE Death Stalker.

You've got a good point, but we don't have an estimated release for either MT or PE product. Likely PE will be early/mid 2015 and MT will be Fall 2015. So, there's plenty of time for me (and others) to pick this up and save up for another product.

I have the Botcon Scorponok and am really looking forward to make him look even more badass, especially with fixing the neck issue.

This is essentially the set they announced years ago for Energon Dark Scorponok but then disappeared, with an extra here and there.

It's a nice set, but I think the original claws of the mold are much cooler than the ones here, they're the best thing of the entire figure to be honest. So that PAck 1 would not be worth it for me at all.

I believe that price is just BBTS doing their thing, HR stuff was usually good value, well taking other 3rd party stuff into consideration, plus super high quality.

I disagree. I don't mind having multiple versions of a character, and the Dark Sol kit was looking pretty amazing. Especially since I have Strafe, Dreadwing, and Mindwipe all in that ROTF mold, it would be good to mix it up visually. That's one of the reasons I'm looking forward to Renderform's Pharma head for Strafe.

Also, have we seen anything on FP Highbrow?

Yikes, 1 of 5. Even if this IS the most expensive pack, 3P pricing is not the most forgiving. Ummm... at a bit of a crossroads now. But since I like the claws and neck piece so much, maybe I just get the 1 pack?

The CrazyDevy model of entrepreneurship is not my favorite. This really should've been 1 pack and maybe $60 max.

I'm not going to invest any money into Botcon Scorponok. I'm going to wait until either PE or MT get theirs to market.
