would you? i was going to post this earlier but seibertron had disappeared. say your girlfriend, boyfriend, wife, husband didn't agree with your hobby and asked you to give it up, would you? personally i probably would cut back a bit and then maybe give it up for her although i would like her to share my habby with me. but like i said if thats not the case than yeah, i would stop and pack up all my guys and send them to my mom's place for storage. what about you?.

by the way, this new forum software kinda sucks, i couldn't even post the full question on the subject bar, i hope it get redone soon, but it probably won't.

He or she should accept you for who you are in the first place.Respect your hobby like you would.If its a financial situation then maybe yes.But you were a collector before you met that person.I wouldnt change a thing.

To be honest, I'd expect anybody who couldnt deal with my collecting tfs o go off me before it got to the stage of them being a significant other. My collection is such a large part of who I am it's pretty much inpossible to avoid the subject until that situation arives.

Well, if i was in a relationship were the person i was dating or married to or whatever couldnt accept me for who i am then i wouldnt have bothered taking that relationship too far in the first place.

My wife is fully supportive of my collecting, even if she moans when i buy new toys despite not being able to afford them technically (she always worries about money). If however she woke up one morning and suddenly said "i dont like your collecting hobby, you need to give it up" i wouldnt because like any good relationship there would be a compromise and we would find a stable, happy middle ground.

There would have to be compromise for sure. I'd never just give them up, nor would I ask her to give anything up. I might agree to not go overboard on expenditures for a few months but that rule would have to be bent if I saw something I wanted :grin:
