And for the record, I never placed a lot of regard on her either. To me she was always the highest tier supporting character. Star Wars was about Vader and Luke and their relationship. Everyone else was just a notch below, even Han Solo and the Emperor.

I prefer Obi Wan Kenobi's wisdom, to darth vader's weird bald look. I like Luke Skywalker and Sandman Logan 9.

I like R2D2 and Hans Solo. Rey Skywalker is a chic.

I prefer Logan's run to Star Wars and star trek. I like Jessica 9. Jenny Agutter.

On Reddit, someone pointed out that Carrie Fisher kept one fingernail longer than the others during Star Wars trilogy filming. This was for scooping up tiny amounts of cocaine or other drugs.

In the real world, royalty has often indulged in substances. Princess Leia is simply following the trend.

Her real-life story is sort-of portrayed in the movie 'Postcards from the Edge'.

As a 'space princess', Leia had to be proactive because the stakes were higher and the perils more serious. She couldn't afford to be passive and painfully polite. Essentially, she had to 'man up'!
