All jokes aside...I'm not feeling these anymore. Between the QC issues, the kinda derpy stylings (Grimlock's dino mode looks a bit weird to me) and the prices, I think I'll look elsewhere for my Dinobots. A shame as they started strong, but oh well. Hopefully that rumoured Zeta Toys improved reissue of the ToyWorld Dinobots actually happens, because if so they'll be mine. The combined mode is a steaming pile of arse, sure, but the indidividual robots (which are what matter) look great.

It seems like all of these have some flaws. Which is really unfortunate as they fill a real niche being voyager non-combining G1 style Dinobots.

I'll still eventually get this guy. Maybe the Raptor girl too because Slash is now a thing.

Ironically, between official and 3P releases I'm kind of Dinobotted out.

Dont do it. One transformation and the feet will snap right off no matter how careful you do it. Its an engineering flaw.

I haven't had any issues transforming either of mine.

How many times have you twisted the feet? My ball joint snapped off on the third time. I was super gentle and I only did it in attempt to see if the other guy with the same issue had the a one-off problem. I was dead wrong. Glad I was able to get my money back.

BTW my regular Pinchar is on his way now. While these guys arent perfect, nothing beats voyager scale Dinobots that dont combine ! ;)^

So I got Pinchar today. He is really cool. Except for the obvious backpack/hood issue.

The modification requires some cutting. I would prefer not to cut up my figure even if its for the better. The piece that gets cut appears to be removable and is cast in black plastic.

I dont know any shapeways designers, but if youre out there this is a great way to make some easy money. Lots of people are buying Pinchar to complete the set but want to fix this aesthetically unpleasing issue. It might be a good investment to buy Pinchar and watch this video. Im sure you could cast a new piece to replace the one that needs cutting.

Id buy it. If anyone else would like to see it happen please voice your support or reach out to anyone who can make it happen...

I agree with X. Shapeways guys: get on it! Or, maybe, the FP guys will see this and just make their own version as they sometimes do. Although I kinda doubt it - it seems as if they're slowing down.

Well, and FP would ship the replacement part with a subsequent figure. And since Lost Exo Realm appears to be done...

Topic's old, but the board's pretty quiet.

I got "Snarl" just a couple of weeks ago. That hook on the back ... man, Fansprojects, what happened to you? Just ONE joint to turn the hook around or getting rid of excess plastic on the black hinge would have solved the issue.

Well, turned all my Dimos to beast and then back and .... "Swoop's" wing broke. The ratchet that connects the wing to the main body snapped. It can still hold, but only barely, and just doesn't hold the wing up at all. I guess, when it comes to the damned wings you have to hold it right at that joint when rotating them.

Kind of killed my enjoyment on completing the main cast. Still, once I put them back on display (and starting my hunt for a spare Volar online) I like 'em. Not perfect, though, this set has issues.

I think my main issue for the set, overall, are the eyes. I'd be fine with all blue. Or all red. Or light piping or paint (although the paint worked the best). Instead we have a real hodge podge. What happened to FP? There was a time when these guys were on point for detail work.

A solution to the spine "hood" problem!

I'm still probably not going for this set, but for those that are, this looks pretty nifty. Does require some patience and tools by the looks of things but that aside, looks ace.

So, I finally opened my Pinchar (Snarl). I have to say that in hand, he looks much better than the pics I've seen. It could also be that I am comparing him to the much smaller PotP figures. I love having a great big (figure size) set of Dinobots for my Classics collection. Now, on to actually transforming him at some point.

Considering that about 5 years ago I had bupkis for Dinobots, with just Classics Grimlock, and Energon Grimlock and Swoop as my only versions, I now have too many to know what to do with them all... I should take a pic...

Sad to say the Shapeways fix doesn't quite work yet.

The pieces are painted black and not pure black plastic, so separating them creates two white dots on both parts.

And they don't fit together either. Boo. Maybe it'll be fixed eventually, but for now it's a bust.
