I got this idea from a post in the earlier headline about the new repaints for Haywire and Fracas from PCC Minicons. The idea is to use plastic tubing to fit inside calibursts minicon port so that it may fit in Blurr's hands for securley than the existing ports on his leg. Problem is all the hobby shops in wilmington north carolina only sell metal and carbon fiber piping, no plastic. I'm reaching out to my fellow seibertronians to get more ideas since this really does make a better haywire gun-mode than the existing ways.

Evergreen should have tubing in the size you need. If you can't find it locally, there's plenty of online hobby/model shops (even Amazon.com) that carry it.

Thanks Skyfire. I actually found another solution, LEGO connector pegs. If you sand them down a little, paint it to match, and use a strong adhesive for the minicon port, you have Caliburst as a Targetmaster!!! I'll post pics when he is completed.

And so it is complete, Caliburst turned into Haywaire!!! Now my Blurr is a Targetmaster instead of a Sniper!!

glad to hear it worked out for ya, although the facebook photo link isnt working.

gonna add a little bit more of a spin on this and say icepick would make a nice recoil. i know takara has elected his mold for fracus but icepick's blue matches with kup better. and using the same method as with caliburst, razorbeam (the dark blue repaint of chopster) would make a very good fracus

Apologies for the mess ups with the pictures everyone. Grim, I like that idea, I planned on using Razorbeam as a targetmaster and I think I will follow through as soon as I get ahold of him and Icepick. Like I said I like this targetmaster form more than the original. Plus when "Haywire" is in robot mode his gear fins hide the lego peg I placed in him, so it works out!!

should warn ya that since razorbeams minicon port is on his chest it dosnt hide as well as caliburst, so i think keeping the peg removable would be a good idea.

well in all do honesty, I might just make it permanent anyway. I remember alot of Targetmasters had their "handles" sticking out like nobody's business so it might not be a problem. This was just a happy coincedence with Caliburst.

Hey as long as it gets results I wont be mad. I'm just glad this didn't fail horribly. Looks like any PCC with a cool minicon will be duking it out fist to fist in my collection.

this idea has been tossed around on the normal toy forums here and there since the announcment of takara using the 3 pcc minicons as targetmasters so if you wanna put it to use on something else go ahead.
