You haven't given any proof. The expanded universe aside, because no one can agree on a set of rules there, Vader can only force choke ONE being at a time, and it requires a hand gesture to do it. Mew Two is TELEKINETIC, no hang gestures necessary. Vader uses the force. The force comes from LIFE. Where he might have been the strongest jedi ever, Old Vader's not very lively these days with four prostetic limbs anda repirator. Tell me what that does for your "midichlorian" count. And NO jedi OR sith has EVER show the ability to move a capital ship(I'm assuming this is what you're talking about, afterall, vader wouldn't bother with fighters), let alone pull one down from planetary orbit. These are all taken from the six movies and the KOTOR games, which give a set of rules pre and post republic that, for the most part, fit accuratly together.

See, this is what proof is. Just saying it is doesn't make it true, you gotta back it up.

1. I don't remember Nihilus ever having destroyed planets. Drained them of life, maybe. But then the Exile went and took him down, so it apparently wasn't the easiest move to use.

2. In the trailer for "The Force Unleashed," Vader's apprentice pulled a Star Destroyer out of the sky on what looked like Coruscant or Taris. At the same time, I can't see why MewTwo wouldn't be able to do the same thing.

Damn, this is an interesting match-up.. with interesting concequences.

I'm going to have to go for Mewtwo. Yes, Vader's blade could easily slice him - or anything other Pokemon - to ribbons, but that, of course, rests quite heavily on his ability to even get close to Mewtwo. His force could also help him, but this requires a hand gesture (not just for choking, or am I wrong? 'm not too with Star Wars) and in those precious microseconds in which he goes to raise his arm, Mewtwo could already have already turned him inside out.

If it doesn't require a physical gesture, then it still takes concentration, I think.

The thing is, the two media are too different. Darth Vader, and the rest of the Star Wars universe was made with limits, like they have certain levels of ability with the force or with light sabres or something. No matter how powerful, they still have a weakness. Like Grievous and his innards (I think. As I say, SW Novice). It's all based in a 'fictional reality', like ours, but where things are restrained by set, consistent (mostly) values.
Pokemon on the other hand was made with pretty much no limit and generally disrespects anything that came before (Newer Pokemon can be more powerful than Mewtwo). So Mewtwo can be as powerful as anyone wants him to be, no limits.

Blah blah, Mewtwo wins because the writers didn't put much thought into him.

1. Order 66 left tons of Jedi actually alive as shown in Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Force Unleashed.

Have you seen the second Mewtwo film? Mewtwo Returns, I think. He's seen to have created (or just inhabited) and maintained a region of.. must be Johto. He hides that environment with storms or other hazards to ward off any intruders.

I do believe he's also shown the ability to freeze people 'in time' (as if they were frozen in time, but thats obviously not what he's really doing) and erased their memory. He'd only need do the latter to get an upper hand on Vader.

You guys have presented good arguments, but I believe I have as well. I still believe 100% that Vader would win, but I'll bet u feel the same about Mewtwo. I'm just gonna call this a stalemate and get on with my life. Whoever wins, it'd be a great fight.

I must say that according to the games a Masterball can catch ANY pokémon without having to weaken it. But then again I can hardly imagine movie Mew-Two being captured by any pokéball as he could prevent his opponent from throwing it in the first place.

All the exended universe stuff has realy started to contradict itself bad when EP1 came out. Personally I don't know if I want to reject either Post EP1 stuff or old expanded universe. I liked StarWars before 1999. George soilded his work. I say the new movies' direction should have been taken by someone who knew where the Star Wars mythology and expended universe had gotten until then. Not only did George contradict the expended universe stuff, he even contradicted his own trilogy in the new movies.

Now Jedi are getting Dragonball level of powers. It's getting crazy. I might as well dig up the old enemy of StarWars: Star Trek as it seems more solid as a continuity.
