So he turns into a collection of fabric dye?

Seriously, nice work so far! I can't wait until I can afford the ABS plastic and all that to start my G1 Ironhide "re-envision"...

Man, that sucks. You suck. I hate you!

Nah, it's awesome man! When I was wondering what you were scratchbuilding this should have been the first thing that came to mind!

You know when you were complaining about how you had no clue about scratchbuilding and that its beyond your skills, I was expecting some kindergarten work when you tried it out. :P But dang man, thats some good stuff there.

Yup.Talked to Don a couple times about him and Don has told me that I pretty much have the proper transformation down pat.

Right now I just have the arm/shoulder on a swivle forward base like Sixshot's arm but later they will totally disconnect from the body so the upper body can turn when it transforms.

Glad to know I'm doing so well my first time out.

It's not really that hard either.Just very time consuming.

Yeah, not too hard if you have the right tools. But your very correct about being time consuming. You need extreme dedication and patience for something like this. Part of doing kitbashes is the satisfaction you have when your done. That satisfaction came rather quick doing just repaints/bashes. But this scratchbuilding stuff...man. But I'm sure the satisfaction you get from finishing a scratchbuild will be far greater than any bash. So I'm looking forward to finishing mine....6 months from now, lol. Looking forward to seeing yours as well. :)

Aww, man - that's looks good! I love seeing Don's designs come to life - in 3D form. Makes me want to see Don's stuff in pog form..

You even put a dent in the helmet. It's those little things that make customs special. Well - what makes a custom special is that it's a custom.
You.. you know what trying to say.. buhh.

Can't wait to see more pics. And more pics of your MasterPiece Megatron kitbash , too! Please!

Thats so awesome!
I agree with Dev, when you stepped up on the scratchbuilt bandwagon I too thought you would do a Megatron first, since you have made your love for that figure very obvious :)

Looks spot-on, clean, symetric.. and yah.. you work fast man!

Well, if you guys noticed, there are clear peices for the light up chest tubes and I made sure to hollow out where the ceter chest area is so I can use electronics later in this guy.

I'm using E Bulkhead's electronics so he has both classic transforming sounds and cannon blasts as well as help with housing the lights.

Right now I'm in the middle of building the lower arm.I got the upper part to turn alread and I should have some pics up tonight of how it's comming along.

Hope you all Like it.I'm really getting into this too and he's going to turn out pretty bad azz.

I dunno. I don't think I would have the heart to sell him and if I did it would have to be a pretty penny.

OK. Here is a update of how much I have done so far.

Last thing I did was sand it down to get rid of any rugged edges.

Some updates I did was finnish almost 80% of the one arm adding the lower arm and detailing the edges there as well as add all the toobs in the chest and in the shoulder.Oh and replace the stem to the back long cannon.

I hope I can fit the electronics and lights in there when I'm done.I'm purposely leaving open a space below the head (The head is on a detachable lid for now.)

Hope you all enjoy it.This guy is going to be one bad mammajamma when I'm done with it.

We'll see. :)

that looks good. I have not seen a pic of tww megs in alt mode  but I guess the arm goes up into the sholder. How are you going to make it stay there?

How dose the styrene hold up to the abrasive action of the steel pins in the joints as it rotates? Even on bought tfs they use vinyl for the joints so how dose it compare to that (I have never built a complex toy from styrene)?
