The figure looks like a great display piece, but untill I see him released in the US, I wouldn't trust it for use.

Warbreaker wrote:Never heard of this problem before, as I've only used my Soundwave as a display piece and I've got a battered but still-working Sony NW-E003F blasting sweet music into my ears. That said, I've got a different problem with my own Soundwave, and I don't want to open up another 'mp3 Soundwave problem' thread...
The Spring below his head. It's too short and too strong. Short, as if in it doesn't push all the way up and hold Soundwave's head securely so he does a good impression of a bobblehead when shaken slightly. Strong, as if in I need a tremendous amount of finger-strength just to cram his head down his shoulders and slide the panel over it, to the point that I'm worried that the panel may not withstand the constant pressure and burst out one day if I were to keep him in his alt-mode. Does anybody else have this problem, and if so, have you managed to open Soundwave up carefully and fix the spring?
Mykltron wrote:Ah yes, I think I know what you mean. I never really noticed but I've just had a fiddle with him. The plate his head is on does wobble a bit if you shake him but it's not so bad that he won't hold whatever head pose you want. The spring is rather powerful and releases with a solid twang and it's a bit fiddly getting it in the hole and covered but I'm not worried it'll ever break loose. I've had him in alt mode for long periods (didn't he come boxed in alt mode?) with no trouble. So I think you're just worrying too much. I think he's pretty sturdy.
