Yeah, I've always had trouble with them too. I had III on DS when i had one and it was so difficult. I will still pick up the new one though to try it out.

The trick is to, every so often, wait outside a town with an inn and a shop (Weapon and magic shops are a plus) and then grind a few levels. As long as, every so often, you take time to grind characters a few levels, you should be fine. The more you grind, the better off you'll be. It's Rule #1 in any RPG. Rule #2 is "Never neglect your healer."

Yeah, but I have always found grinding a bit turdious.
