Animated Arcee is still my Arcee on the shelf. Like you, I don't like Arcee as a bike but so far we've see nothing from Hasbro's new Arcee. I don't keep too much hope, though. MMC Azalea, although may look nice, but I will not replace it with my Animated Arcee. On the other hand, strongly considering Elita-1 if I see more pictures later. I'm in really no rush state. MMC still needs to provide me other three Predacons this year first.

I think this may replace my PE Motobot. I'd like a little more accurate G1 convertible, but I can more than live with this.

If this is based on her appearance in her spotlight issue I'm game, as I much prefer that over the ugly look she has now.

Where's the trunk on the car mode,it looks like it's missing. I don't like the sculpt in either mold. This looks terrible,cheap & awkward.

Kinda wish it comes with the psycho face, considering the material this figure is based on. Even better if it also has an articulated jaw.

They should just scrap the whole Arcee thing while they got time and go with Elita One for this mold. This is not better than delicate warrior. Also, I personally don't think Hasbro will get it right either, but everyone else does.

Delicate Warrior is G1 Arcee, this is IDW Arcee. Buy this and put an Elita 1 Head on it...Or just don't buy it... You'll get it though, you're ballin' like that. Considering the way MMC does figures that are repaintable (HoS Optimus, HoS Starscream, THEY EVEN MADE A REPAINT FOR HoS SHOCKWAVE WTF?!) I wouldn't be surprised if they had plans for repaints/retools of this figure outside of Chromia. Because you're right, all they need to do is change the head.

I think they have plans for Elita 1 and one other Fembot. They showed some blacked out teasers way back. But I have a feeling if Hasbro does make an Arcee that is actually a pink car, it will be IDW style. And given the common nature of most TF collectors (Hasbro by loyalty) this thing will probably flop. This thing is still in prototype stage and Hasbro Arcee drops in a month I believe. That's why I believe MMC should can the whole Arcee thing and go for Elita. It would be a great way to counter Hasbro. They can even include both heads for you to choose which character you want it to be. When I look at the alt mode, it screams Elita One. (from the little we get of her alt mode)



MMC's alt mode just isn't sporty or girly enough to give me an Arcee vibe. And if that's how IDW drew her alt mode, I would tell the same thing to the artist, lol.

BTW - glad you enjoy the scale pics. I don't know nothing about CM, KM, etc. But I am the master of ounces !

Something doesn't feel right about Hasbro releasing Arcee... I mean don't get me wrong, I would be thrilled if it was a pink sporty car, but I can't shake the feeling that it's going to be a pink bike (I would expect blue to be honest but considering Chromia is in the wave I assume the colors would be too close). I'm hoping it isn't

You fellas must not have been around when MMC was going through all the Azalea discussions last year. I think it was around April Fool's Day, because they posted a teaser pic of Predaking hinting at a 6th member, then had Azalea in Predacon colors perched on the shoulder of the combiner prototype. (Personally, I loved this mold in orange, red, and yellow! Also, the 6th member turned out to be Felisaber.)

After that, MMC did some research, gauging fan interest. They stated they wouldn't proceed unless there was enough interest. Well, there must have been (I know I threw my support behind it!) because not only are they doing Arcee, they have a total of four fembots planned: Azalea, Zinnia, Euoatorium, and Salvia Prominon. (Scroll down to R-08)

So, as to comments that MMC should scrap this because of lack of interest? Unless Has/Tak's unseen items are putting pressure on these figures, MMC has already done that homework and determined that there is interest. (Plus, at least one mold is going through PSX, meaning that they will pretty much only manufacture to pre-sales, much like the Felisaber offering.)

HasTak has been hitting more home runs & less fouls with the 2013-2014 Generations 30th toys. So going by this high track record. It's hard to believe HasTak can mess up a simplistic deluxe 30th Arcee toy. Either it will be in the 1980's G-1 style,IDW or a hybrid of both. I have faith in HasTak that they'll hit this one out of the ball park.

What I fear is that, 30 years without getting the "perfect" G1 Arcee is going to make people very hard to please. We've built up in our minds what we want from this figure and it's going to be very difficult to please everyone.

For me, Arcee isn't all that an important character to have on my shelf, so I'll most likely be satisfied with whatever HasTak produces for the character and sell off my Delicate Warrior to someone who wants something a little more stringent.

Hastak's repertoire of decent fembots is far too low for me to predict anything but mediocrity, especially if they actually try to make her a car. Honestly I'd take a decent Milne inspired design any day over some hybrid garbage or that ugly as all f**k WFC thing she looks like now.

I'll probably still buy Azalea unless that HasTak version blows me away.

That's my thinking, too. Their Reformatted line has been hit after hit, and I expect the final in-hand Azalea to be quite the piece of work (and relatively affordable).

TFA Arcee has her legs spread out to the sides very widely. The wider the legs are spread the shorter the robot height gets. TFA Arcee was a tiny short deluxe compared to other deluxes. The MMC Arcee is probably still a deluxe around 6 inches in height.

Why does this MMC Arcee toy even need to exist. Don't we already have a few HasTak & other 3rd party versions already. Isn't HasTak releasing that 30th Deluxe Arcee in 2014. Why do I care? Because this will delay MMC's overlord called Carnifex. We all know how slow MMC is. We all know this MMC Arcee is going to get repainted & possibly retooled into almost a dozen femmebots. MMC Arcee & the repaints are going to slow down & prevent MMC from releasing other TF toys. We all know,sometimes 3rd party toys delays cause projects to get cancelled.

Seriously? I just commented on this point of view a few posts ago (back on Feb 2), and there is a great explanation in the first post in this thread. You have a point, but MMC has already addressed the initial decision to go ahead. So, at least some of your questions are already answered. There is fan interest or they wouldn't go ahead. There are even several here, including myself, that have thrown support behind this project.

Given how little we've seen of Carnifex, and we have a track record of MMC development, we are likely a looooooong ways away from seeing Carnifex. Plus, what are you talking about with delays to unrelated toys causing project cancellations? What examples do you have? Do you have industry information to back this reasoning up? I'd like to know about this, since we should all know this already...

yea what Aggi said! and plus Has/Tak Arcee could be a bike for all we know. I mean I hope they knock it out of the park, but I'm glad i got MMC's Arcee and fembots to fall back on. I might still buy one depending on price and how it comes out even if Hasbro's Arcee is the end all be all Arcee that we'll ever need. I'll just buy this in other colors! Mold diversity is always a good thing.
