None taken. Though I tend to think whining about the designs is a little silly I can understand people disliking Devestator since it was radically different than his G1 version (more monsterous and less humanoid).
Still, more combiners would be nice.
SKYWARPED_128 wrote:Personally, I don't like the idea of him sucking sand as an attack method. While it makes sense to just suck everything into a grinder than to swat a minuscule enemy with oversized hands, for some reason it just didn't translate well on screen for me.
Rodimus Prime wrote:I am also hoping for a couple of surprises, if not combiners. I really would have liked to see Tidal Wave make an appearance as an aircraft carrier, and be the "big guy" of the movie, but it looks like that will go to Silverbolt, being a huge space shuttle and all.

Wait, what? Space shuttle?
Presuming Silverbolt wasn't part of the misinformation campaign,(along with Shockwave as the main villain, the Ferrari being a Decepticon and the Mercedes being Carly's car)there may be a chance of him showing up as one of Sentinel's mooks brought in by the Space Bridge.

Now me, I would have taken that idea and ran with it. In this one videogame I love the hero's starship has a main gun that shoots liquid metal at other ships. Mind you it does this with powerful electromagnets so it's a stream of burning hot death screaming at you at 5% the speed of light.
Imagine Devestator with something like that? He sucks everything into his maw with that vacuum dealie, melts it down, then uses an electromagnetic excellerator to spew molten death at everything in his path. Would be a) awesome and b) play up the "villian's pet monster/dragon" role he seemed to fill in the movie.

they didn't ruin him, he was awesome in ROTF but the balls were just stupid, everything else just kicked ass
Xterminator wrote:I also think that Devastator was awesome. I didn't mind the balls either, it was a quite funny joke the first time.
However, he deserved to be much more powerful. What a shame to see him killed by a stupid rail-gun. It would be much nicer to see him defeated by the combined effort of (almost) all autobots working as a team.
Rodimus Prime wrote:That might be true. It also might be true that the shuttle part was part of the misinformation, but there will be an Autobot named Silverbolt and also an Autobot space shuttle, most likely with which the "good Autobots" leave, at least temporarily. So it's just putting 2+2 together. I would supply photos/other sources, but it seems I can't find any.Like you said, might be just misinformation on one or the other. But I doubt both. 1 has to be true.
