A friendly Bludgeon? Nonsense, its eyes are only giving you a false sense of weakness.
Wait, I know what it is. Bludgeon's assessing potential FACE donors. Its eyes are wide with anticipation. Bludgeon comes with bladed implements so, which are obviously for facial reconstruction purposes.
On the next episode of Nip/Tuck: Bludgeon

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

Could it be that Bludgeon is Movie Optimus Prime's lover? As that would explain Prime's line of "Give Me your face!" He just want to make Bludgy a present.

They're trying to keep things on the down low, seeing as they're from opposing factions. It's a very Romeo and Juliet situation.Razorclaw0000 wrote:Possible, and creepy...
Yes. Especially with Voyager Bludgeon's creepy-stalker "There you are...I see you..." wide open eyes.
He's watching.

The most disturbing part to me is the fact that a skeleton-faced robot is salivating. Salivating! Now that's just wrong.

THAT'S what NEST Global Alliance really means. Love, not war.
I can't wait to get Bludgeon and display him with Ironhide.

If we could control time, I'd go back in time to get all the figures I want at retail price!
Yeah, I think Bludgeon is awesome. This is as good an homage to G1 Bludgeon we'll get for a loooong time. Could it be better? Yeah, anything can be better.
I do see an issue with the design for the skull-ish face, mainly due to the eyes, but as cool as a death metal skull would look on the figure, it would look more out of place.
In all of the movie designs, there has been no detail that has been an outright copy of something else. Ironhide's head and face resemble a bull to me but the features imply it, it's not a literal metal bull's head.
So for Bludgeon, looking at the toy and box art, it looks like an implied skull rather than a straight up copy of a human skull. Sure it looks odd or goofy to many but if it were a realistic skull, we'd get the same declarations of "Wow, that's not right! It's soooo out of place on an alien robot! It looks goofy! Why would a robot have a skull face?!?" and yadda, yadda, yadda.
The same goes for the samurai armour inspired bot mode. The metal plates imply generic yoroi but I wouldn't mistake it for the real thing. It doesn't look like someone just plopped samurai armour on a robot. We already have the original Pretender so I'm looking forward to this contemporary update to the character design.

Why a tank for an alt mode? I think he should've chosen a more Samurai feel vehicle alt mode.

A more Samurai-feel alt. mode? Like what, a hay-cart?
That being said, it does seem like HasTak uses tank modes a lot. Maybe it's in their mission statement to use tanks as alt. modes whenever they can't think of anything.
