Profile: Nightbird began life as a member of the slave caste, a personal servant to a high ranking official. As barely sentient Cybertronians, the slave caste’s sparks were ‘fragments’, spliced off of a whole spark.

Thus she was given nothing but basic programming, no voice, and denied the ability to take an alt form. Her sole purpose was to act as a personal guard and servant.

She was a mere slave, with no hope of intelligence or free will, and a limited sentience, capable of making only basic decisions and incapable of being anything but obedient to serve her master.

Nightbird was one of the very few who started to develop sentience, much more than her master or programmers ever expected.

Exerting any sort of free will or pre-sentienice was considered a defect of programing of the slaves, resulting in reprogramming or, worse if it reoccured, being ‘scrapped’ and recycled.

Her awaking sentience trapped in a nightmarish existence she struggled to break free by exerting her will, much to the dismay of her master.

Sent to be ‘scrapped’ she was rescued just before being deactivated, allowing her to escape her 'master' and living secretly out of sight of the Senate.

As time went by her sentience grew to the point of being considered a completely autonomous individual allowing her to aquire a t-cog from a "donor", and be upgraded to allow her to be able to transform.

She began putting her natural talents to work and spent a great deal of time learning espionage and scouting, and training in martial arts from a student of Bludgeon’s. She had a natural aptitude for the art of fighting, making learning Metallikato seem like second nature.

Adopting the life of a mercenary, she found employment in the functionalist government fairly abundant, despite her hatred for them, they paid her well to spy.

When the war broke out, she was bouncing between sides for a very short time. However, this did not last long. Without credentials it became difficult to find work, even as a mercenary. Employers were suspicious of someone who would not declare a faction.

Shortly after the war began, she realized she could not continue to be a mercenary exactly, she’d have to choose a side. The choice was obvious, as she viewed the Autobot’s simply as extensions of the old government that had enslaved her for so long.

However, she still prefers to remain a mercenary to an extent, and still not entirely trusted.

She became known as an enigmatic spy, silent, skilled, observant, with deadly skills in martial arts. Blending into the night and shadows and escaping against all odds once she makes her presence known.

She is proficient in more martial arts than most Cybertronians. She has almost mastered Metallikato, falling just short due to not being able to complete her training, but her skills in martial arts are second to very few.

She was placed as second in command for Bomb Burst. The two struck, at first, an uneasy working relationship, which grew to a very strong working relationship as the two have managed to come to respect each other. He began teaching her assassination techniques, though her stealthiness was not an issue, he felt she could benefit with some stealthy quick strike techniques in addition to her her more straightforward Metallikato techniques. When her assignment technically ended, he took over paying her.

She can be known to speak little, giving her a reputation of never speaking. But when she does she can be sweet when she wants to be, disarmingly easy to talk to, or possibly cold and cruel, her tactics change as even when she is not trying to extract information, she still plays the role. No matter what she remains calm and cool under any situation, with a naturally commanding personality. Her keen observation skills keeping her a step ahead of all others.

She has a very strong, calm, intuitive personality, but very commanding. It has helped her navigate through the Decepticon army while remaining somewhat of a mercenary. She 'reads' others well, very observant she easily picks up on emotions of others. She is often given more leeway to choose her assignments presented to her.

Her vise is for unique alt modes, especially on earth, she tends to choose extremely rare luxury sport cars for alt modes, 'futuristic' with sleek, powerful lines, changing them every few years when a new sleek form catches her optic. She doesn't care that she stands out, even her robot form is unique amongst her peers, her reputation surpassed her ability to hide her profession, but her adaptable nature took it in stride. You will never see her when she's working.

Abilities: Nightbird has a natural talent for martial arts. She is highly skilled in Metallikato, Circuit-Su, as well as trained in the arts of assassination, chain and weight weapons and throwing weapons.

Also an expert in intell gathering has placed her in recon as well as espionage roles. Her calm, focused, patient personality allowed her to hone her skills for remaining in one position without even shifting weight for long periods of time. Skilled in distraction, avoidance, and silence, she evades well and uses distraction to mainly gain the upper hand, sometimes to escape. Her preference is not to run from a fight.

Her attention to detail has lent itself to her fighting skills, allowing her to read and react quickly to her opponent.

She prefers to strike first and from the shadows in a fight to make sure she has the upper hand.

Her color scheme is black and dark gray with some purple highlights particularly in her battle mask that she wears covering her face near constantly, her smaller size allows her to hide in tighter spaces allowing her to eavesdrop and watch from cover.

Lightly armored she moves near silently in robot mode and her alt mode is also light, fast, and maneuverable.

Weaknesses: Her martial arts training and her own personality quirks absolutely demand she maintains perfect control over her emotions, especially anger. Find what angers her and goad her, she will lose control of her emotions and her focus, often resulting in irrational reactions that end up mistakes.

Between her light armor and an occupation that often places her in dangerous situations as well as being out numbered, she often finds herself in a position not to her advantage. However, her sense of courage often outweighing reason, she will do these assignments regardless.

She doesn't back down from a fight, unless she is certain there’s no chance for escape.
