Thanks, it's funny you mention that because I am feeling like that with Apollyon...Ever since I got him, read the horror stories, and had my own experiences (ie breaking HR in a photo) and I have been comparing them to each other. IMO their transformations are in the same complexity ballpark...and there are some thin-ish pieces of plastiC on Hotrodimus also and somethings don't tab as well as they should and the fiddle factor is about the same on both...so I feel the quality is about the same for both. Either way I love them both all the same and think they are great along with their engineering...warts and all.
I feel like I need to try out TRU MP Rodimus tonight. After getting Apollyon squared away (and considering I've transformed the rest of my MPs in the last few days, minus MP05 LOL) I feel up to it.leakin' lubricant wrote:That's exactly how I see Apollyon. Complicated, fiddly and delicate but bloody fantastic looking with quite possibly the most rewarding transformations within the Masterpiece line, I very nearly passed on Roddy due to the horror stories but I'm so glad I didnt.donny1975 wrote:Thanks, it's funny you mention that because I am feeling like that with Apollyon...Ever since I got him, read the horror stories, and had my own experiences (ie breaking HR in a photo) and I have been comparing them to each other. Also, can we change the thread name to "Legit MP Collection" Donny? I'm pretty sure we can all agree you aren't a noob

Donny, I'm surprised to see and glad to hear you like those Combiner Wars guys. I thought your were sitting those out. I think their a ton of fun. Hope you do too.
Suuurrrreeeee Alpha B is great little TF. Simple transformation. Looks neat in both modes. I'll say the same for all the deluxes. The only one I'm not a huge fan of is Dead End. He is a great toy, but ultimately I think has robot mode is fugly. The thing I love most about this line is the modularity or interchangeability. It takes me back to when My bro and I would mix and match our TFs, Microman, and other Takara toys we had. I love to "Scramble City" all night long! I just got Hot Spot and Cyclonus in the mail this weekend. Hot Spot is by far the best torso bot thus far. I have him wearing the Aerials right now. Looks FANTASTIC. In the time it takes me to TF one MP Seeker I can build and rebuild a scrambled combiner. Love that kind of play value.donny1975 wrote:Cobotron wrote:Ya, I'm gonna go ahead and say your a professional now.itscramtastic wrote:Also, can we change the thread name to "Legit MP Collection" Donny? Are you going all the way? Gonna get all the teams, or just get what you like and mixy matchy?

itscramtastic wrote:The collection grows!! Are you still picking up most of your figures online? I used to get out and hunt more when I was on the road a lot with work but now I just hit up a few places and it's the same old AoE stuff..
leakin' lubricant wrote:Dat Ark man!Soooooo good!
I was able to get CW Megatron at TRU in store (cheap thanks to rewards!) and they had a bunch of Dragstrip figures. Still not sure why I haven't completed NEW Superion, they have always had at least one complete set..donny1975 wrote:The only figures I purchased at the store are dragstrip, breakdown, offroad, deadend and alpha bravo...
Everything else in my collection waz purchased online...stock a brick and mortars sucks...
Although I did see a few leader class megs at the targets, walmarts and TRUs I was in...he's nice but not for 45 or more....
Good call ICTitscramtastic wrote:In other news, are you interested in the latest "not Chromedome" figure Cupola? I think he and DX9 Carry need to be pre-ordered by me
