Deceptitech wrote:6. For those who think I am nothing but a Decepticon fanboy, I saw something in the opening scenes really disturbed me. Optimus Prime, the bastion of all that is good and moral when defeating his opponent walks up to him, and says "Any last words?" I was aghast there, when Demolisher(never called by name) said that the fallen will return, he said "Not today" and blows his head off right there. Holy **** dog ****! That was NOT Optimus Prime. I thought Optimus Prime has mercy for even his most hated foes. That was completely out of character. From walking up to Megatron at the end of the first movie and saying "I am sorry, brother." to "Any last words?" I damn near had a conniption fit. I will say this. Any autobot fanboys should better as hell be disturbed at this. THAT was not Optimus Prime there. If you think is was, then welcome to Decepticon way of life.
Evolution Prime wrote:Well I may be in the minority here, but that is the side of Optimus Prime I've always wanted to see. He doesn't always have to be Mr. Goody Two Shoes. We are always led to believe that he is an Autobot bada$$ and on the level of Megatron, but rarely ever got to see it. Yeah he could stand toe to toe with him, but just didn't have that killer instinct. We finally get to see that. I have always wanted to see absolutely laying waste to Decepti-scum. Closest we saw that was his enterance in the TF:TM. That forest fight scene was all sorts of win for those of us wanting to see an a$$kicking Prime. We see the darker side of Optimus. It has been long overdue. He shows that you can kick a$$ and be compassionate as well.
Coincidentally, my main HMW character is based off of the darker side of Prime.
He's got some pretty far-out powers to go along with them, too, including teleportation, the projection of trippy telepathic visions and illusions, and the ability to groove on the language of 98% of all known species. To uses his powers to the fullest, though, he's gotta be feelin' good vibrations; bad karma can seriously harsh his mellow, y'know?

I guess that's why it will be a hit in the Americas...
SoooTrypticon wrote:The masses also went to go see The Dark Knight if I'm not mistaken. I think the filmmakers involved could have tried a little harder. The two films also have the same rating- so same demographic.
Cyber Bishop, by the by, did you delete my post, or move it? If so, could you stick it here at least? I don't see it in your reply...
(edit)
Nevermind, spotted it. Sorry.

What??? So your saying "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2" has the same demographic as Transformers?
Cyberjet #7 wrote:- Prime and BB are the only ones who fight. Everyone else is just in the background shooting at things off screen. Ironhide and Arcee deserve better than this.
Cyberjet #7 wrote:- At times it felt like an army recruitment video. Still too many humans saving the day. I get really bored with the same scenes and shots of the good old army boys loading up, talking tech and code, and clicking weapons into place.
Cyberjet #7 wrote:- Sam/Mikeala dialogue. It was more forced and poorly written than the lines in Indy KOTCS. I really don't care who says "I love you" first. That is the last thing I came to see a TF movie for.
Cyberjet #7 wrote:- No TF character developement. I really don't feel like Bay cared about this one - he just wanted to blow stuff up. Arcee, Sideswipe, Ironhide, etc all just had one or two lines. WTF?
Cyberjet #7 wrote:- Matrix. Next time call it something else. It had nothing to do with Leadership.
