Not sure what makes people think they will just drop Michael Bay from the franchise like in a blink of a eye.

Here's a couple solid legitimate reasons why they won't for the time being.

1. Steven Spielberg - Bay may be making the movies but Spielberg is the top guy and Spielberg likes Bay and as long can make movies that appeal to the wide casual audience that make money. Then Bay is going nowhere and Spielberg won't get rid of him as long as that's happening.

2. Bay is a lot of things but most significantly is a VERY GOOD commercialized director. He knows what sells and how to sell it. Having Transformers battle it out mixed with some off beat comedy even if the comedy is genuinely weak and some fun human characters has worked twice now and I'd expect it to be the same thing in Transformers 3.

I think people want or expect some sort of Empire Strikes Back or EMO Dark Knight telling of a Universe with no human presence which won't sell to a casual audience and that's what its all about. The Dark Knight was a great rendition of an old story but it had a lot factors that got people curious. Firstly the portrayal of the Joker by Heath Ledger followed by Ledgers death which created a Crow redux for this film.

I think for the Transformers to work the way presumably people want it too would require a lot more than two and a half hours pull off. Bay admitted it himself that ROTF was hurt by the writers strike, a tight schedule and virtually no time to edit the film.

Like Bay said on the documentary for this film. The only way you can really make movies like these is making them fun, roller coaster like, etc. Even though I think the first film was a solid balls to the wall film and right up Bay's alley of film making. I'd agree that ROTF needed more time to be fleshed out instead so much was happening that hurt the film in the end.

All that said, I can see why people don't want Bay involved anymore. They want a film with no humor good or bad. They want a film with minimal human presence. They want a two and a half hour movie set on Seibertron or something similar to that with deep Bots and Cons all of them explained in detail. Im not sure any director will be able to pull that off without some faction of the fan base being ticked about it.

That's the advantage Star Wars had. It was new, fresh and nobody could cry about the rich background that was not there. Maybe Transformers should stay within its literature, cartoons and comics to keep detail at an all time high.

It is better than I thought it would be. Awesome film.
Some of the fights were a little messy and not enough diference and clearness was shown for each character. Sideswipe is cool.
The first time I liked a female with the name Arcee. The three part Arcee is the is the best one with that name.
I wish I had followed the impulse I had when it came out and seen it at the cinema.

Weapon: Electron-Scimitars
While the movie wasn't as good as I thought it would be(AKA it was no where near as good as Movie 1) it was a good movie to me.
Pros:
More Robots. Good Story. Good and creative designs for robots(Rampage for example). Cool new Autobots(SideSwipe). Amazing fight scenes(one of the few things better than movie one).

Cons:
Not alot of robot lines, Skids and Mudflap were pretty much it, I would've liked to see more of the original team. Plot went weird, as in many things(like devastator and his pieces) don't make sense.
Not enough of the Constructicons(they're awesome!). The fallen was pathetic. Pointless things such as Alice(plus she's annoying). Mikayla has no point in this movie, they should've made her do something important at least. Megatron's new design was semi ugly and he was really weak! The fallen wasn't on fire....

Well that's my review of it.

This movie stinks so BAD!!! True it may have had some good things, but alas, it !!!STANKED!!!

Good:

excellent choice of characters
excellent special effects
Peter Cullen as Prime
Megatron beating Starscream up for fun ("You fail me, yet again.")

Bad: #-o

it was TOO focused on the relationships of the Fleshlings.
focused on the MEATBAGS rather than the autonomous robotic organisms.
plot was weak, and made Animated look good in comparison.
did not introduce any of the new characters (aside from Jetfire and Wheelie)
Devastator is GREEN, not orange, yellow, green, red, white and all those other colors.
Jetfire..... (nuff' said)
Leo made Agent Simmons look cool.
Skids and Mudflap were horrible.

UGLY: :-B

Wheelie's umm main act.
Devastator's umm manliness
Skids and Mudflap 8-}
Wheelie in this movie made me miss the original, orange, rhyming midget

Questions: :?:
If red is the sports car color... then why is sideswipe silver? aside from the fact Bay hates the color red on screen)
Why isn't Bumblebee talking?
Why does Bumblebee's alt. mode remind me of Sunstreaker?
Why are their SO MANY dead characters back? (Bonecrusher)
If Frenzy's head was blown to pieces with a shotgun then why is his head complete in Simmons "Man Cave"?
If Frenzy's remains are radioactive then why did the enviromentalist groups allow the remains of the other baddies to be dumped in the ocean?
How come Barricade, who was not shown dead in the movie, is not in this movie? (remember Sam saw that "Same cop" in the highway scene)
If the matrix is destroyed then how can we have the "touch"

That was covered in the film.

He was looking for sympathy.
Why does Bumblebee's alt. mode remind me of Sunstreaker?

Dont know.

Doest look anything like G1 Sunstreaker to me.

Why are their SO MANY dead characters back? (Bonecrusher)

According to the films creators that was a new character.

If Frenzy's head was blown to pieces with a shotgun then why is his head complete in Simmons "Man Cave"?

Because he head wasnt blown to peaces by a shot gun.

I suggest you watch the first film again.

When we last saw Frenzy his head had been cut clean off and split by a ricochet of his own blades.

If Frenzy's remains are radioactive then why did the enviromentalist groups allow the remains of the other baddies to be dumped in the ocean?

What makes you think the government would have consulted enviormental groups on where to dump them????

The U.S. government kept the whole thing a secret from the public.

I know his head was cut clean off by his own blade. I just copied and pasted some questyions on another site (I thought I had gone over them, but there were a ton so I must have let a few dumb ones come in)I agree with everything u said sorry, but how could a giant battle in a public city from the first film was covered up? I realize it happened but how (other than bribery)?

any way on the back of armorhide's toypackage it says he enjoys being with Bumblebee because he can't complain about him because his vocal processor is damaged. This is from a Revenge of the Fallen N.E.S.T. toy that takes place after the movie. Any one care to explain?

Well there was no actual evidence.

So I'm sure they told the public it was mass hysteria or something.

The info from toy packeges arent always in sync with the films or shows.

Further more, its not like Bumblerbee spoke alot at the end of the first film. All he said was "I want to stay with the boy" and even then it didnt sound like a normal voice.

It my guess he can talk....but with great strain.

Probably the same way they kept Sam's parents quiet. The government paid for all the repairs and gave the witnesses hush money. So yeah, bribery.

that is an excellent reason why he can't talk :APPLAUSE:

Bay I think became so obsessed with the annoying Flesh Creatures, "Dirty" jokes and "bad comedy" that the essence of transformers was lost. That is the bottom line.
