Oh well, it was fun to imagine a world with Paddles.

That's one of the worst cop outs I've ever read.

Maybe for the fans.....![]()
Titan Metroplex sold poorly in stores in the USA. Due to most USA retail stores not stocking it on shelves. Because it was too exspensive & took up too much valuable retail shelf space.
Even though Titan Metroplex sold decent on most retail stores online sites. I don't think the sales numbers were that high to deem it a success. Most USA retail stores with online sites have much lower volume of there items on there sites.
I'd be curious to get Hasbro's opinion on,If online sales were high enough to deem Titan Metroplex a sales success. Hasbro probably will never share this info with fans.

How do you know it sold poorly in retail stores? You have no numbers to go by besides a few people saying it's shelf-warming or they never restock. Hasbro will never share sales info with us so lets wait until toyfair to see if they announce a Trypticon if they do than we can assume sales went well.

Ditto - we have no actual numbers to go by. What we have is anecdotal evidence, which is never something you want to rely on. Empirical evidence might include:
-BBTS' initial and secondary shipments completely sold out (3rd shipment pending)
-TFsource is completely sold out
-CostCo completely sold out (1 region, of 8, saw clearance prices below 79.99, but that was isolated)
Given this, I don't think you can say Titan Metroplex did poorly.
At any rate, I'd much rather see Planet X give the FOC Dinobots a whirl. Trypticon was WFC. By the time Planet X figures out how to even deal with a figure that big, we'll be on to the next thing. I think playing off of FOC designs, especially when you have the potential to get fans hooked on an entire team, is a smart move.
Limited/Exclusive distribution is not uncommon (see: Masterpieces), and I don't think you would say that the TRU Masterpieces sold poorly. Would you?Tsutsukakushi wrote:What?![]()
What we do know is most USA major retail stores never stocked the Titan Metroplex on store shelves. USA Stores like Target,Walmart,Kmart never stocked this item on store shelves. Toys R Us stores barely stocked this item on store shelves for a month or Two last year with barely one or Two on the shelves. Cosco had limited supply. So going by all this info,Yes,Titan Metroplex did sell poorly in stores. As most stores refused to stock the item on shelves due to the high price tag & the huge shelf space it needed.
"We all know" is the universal way of saying you've got ZERO proof. Do you have delivery manifests that verify how much stock was received? I didn't think so. When you have proof, feel free to share. Until then, stop presenting your conjecture as fact. It's embarrassing.Tsutsukakushi wrote:We all know most USA Retail stores that have internet sites like target, walmart, kmart,TRU. Barely stock there on-line sites with toys, most have skeleton toys stocks. once stuff sells out,it takes forever to restock. So even if Titan Metroplex did sell out on-line. the online ordering volume was so low that it wasn't enough to make titan metroplex a success in sales in America.
"No doubt" is also a universal sign of ZERO proof. Show me the sales numbers.Tsutsukakushi wrote:The USA TRU.com site didn't list Titan Metroplex in the Transformers section. Visitors on the TRU.com site had to type in the word Metroplex to see the listing. So basically parents, kids, buyers, had to know about metroplex before hand,as the listing was almost invisble on the site. TRU.com did a poor job of listing Metroplex on there site,This no doubt hurt sales of this item.

I like what Megatronus said.
Metroplexinjb902 wrote:Just to be clear I never said they sold well, like various people have said there are no figures. I only said it was well received.
I bought my Metroplexi online, with the exception of the SDCC variant.

What does Grimlock's tail have to do with getting a refund on Caelus?
I think Sodan thought Planet X weren't making Grimlock. I think, that as a result of this, and his displeasure with Hasbro's version, he decided against collecting the set of FOC Dinobots. I think he's voicing his wish that PX would have made clear their intent to make their own Grimlock, that he could have kept Caelus and waited to collect the whole set. I think.
Banjo-Tron wrote:I guess if that no-one else was going to come up with a better FOC Grimlock, it was a deal-breaker to getting any others. I can just about live with the tail, the huge gap in the belly, on the other hand...

Thanks for sharing this information mooncake . I just ordered Gokui also bought Frieza today as well
Delta Magnus wrote:This guy looks amazing. I hope they do Slag, Snarl and Sludge- if they ddo I'll be getting them all + FOC Grimlock + the Iron Factory add-on (that's the one with the "wings" that allow a perfect transformation, right?).
Anyone know where would be the best place to buy Caelus from (I live in the UK)? He's out of stock on TFSource, and whilst I've seen him on Robotokingdom I don't know if they ship to the UK...
Tsutsukakushi wrote:Think all of these needed to get released last year when the FOC hype was at it highest. Think sales would have been higher last year.
Don't think sales or demand for these FOC Dinobots will be that high this year. Due to so many buying the TF4 Dinobots and the 3rd party MP G-1 Dinobots toys.
