Seems to be based on the Bob figure Trent made for Superfanart, but never got accepted... His original version was a color sandstone statue, but this will be plastic mold injected when finished and made up of 5mm port parts, like a BMOG.

I hope that no matter the outcome of the Kickstarter campaign, Play With This Too or BMOG end up making it.

I also like that the head has a ball joint on it to make it fit on a MOTUC or PWTToo figure body, just like the dinosaur head shield.

I'm sorry to see that this isn't going to make it.

Looking at the Kickstarter pledges as they stand right now, people have pledged for 1085 figures. Whether this succeeds I'm hoping some company with funding sees there is demand for the figures and offers to make make the designs for a split of the profits. I mean why isn't MMC, KFC, or FPJ saying "Hey, can we make those with you?"

As am I. If they could some how slot it in without affecting production of their other work like FansProject appears to have done with Jizai's headmasters, then I wouldn't be too tossed about it. But if doing so risks delaying Overlord and the rest of the DJD, then there would be some issues.

They put in a noble effort, but demand just isn't there for these guys apart from a few very rabid fans. Time to move on I say.

Considering Play With This Too already a quote from a factory, I don't think it would cut into MMC production (or whoever) if they aprtnered with them.

I'm an action figure guy, collecting DC Universe, Marvel Legends, & SW Black 6", so I thought I'd be on board with a few of the humanoid characters here. Unfortunately, the proportions & design aesthetic kill it for me. Bob looks cool but I don't need him badly enough to invest in this. I'm sure another company will put him out eventually(hopefully with a leash & wheelchair for Sunstreaker).

No word on if the 6 inch figures will ever see the light of day, but I notice one of the bonus items from the first Kickstarter just went online for sale. The cobalt blue BMOG bear and manta which were a bonus item in the first Kickstarter are now being sold for $20 each, with free shipping if you get 2 or more sets. These animals are made of weapons that are all 5mm peg handles, for many figures including Transformers to use.

Hopefully we will see other small items from the Kickstarters appear for sale as time passes.

News:

1. They will be staying far away from Kickstarter.
2. The 6 inch figures on are on the back burner. It is possible they will get made if another company is interested in producing their design.
3. The weapons and tech drones they designed may go on to Shapeways for people to print out (please let them know if you are interested!).
4. Rik was approached by 2 different manufacturers at TFcon Charlotte. Some toys will end up getting made in partnership with another third party company with PWTToo doing design.

If they made a line of tech drones, I'd buy them. Hopefully that's what's under discussion.
