That said, to whoever said I took you out of context, I went back and looked again, and your addendum didn't do anything to clarify things for me. It simply served to reinforce what I took away from what I quoted.

UNICRON
Thats right, I want Unicron. I'm serious if anyone out there has a pair of D-Class Wrecking Balls to take on the ominous task of Unicron. If the new director on this franchise is looking for a way to one-up Bay in explosions....a Giant Planet Eating Robot is a pretty good way to go about that.

The subject is: "If a TF fan is busting to tell the TF moviemakers something about his feeling towards THE FUTURE of the TF movieverse, and the chance was given via the direct question "how do you think we (the moviemakers, without you) should do something?", what would you say to them in response?

If I had a chance to speak with Michael Bay, in particular, I would actually tell him that I thought the 1st movie was great and it captured my imagination all over again. I would tell him that I thought RoTF could have been more entertaining for me personally, but it was a good movie overall. I would actually tell Mike that I think he did a good job of directing a few shows that have brought a major interest of mine to the general public, and I appreciate it.
I don't expect a movie to make all my dreams come true. If that was what I got, I would know that I was the only person that bought that ticket.......then I would wake up from my dream......and once again adapt to another day in a world that I am not the center of.

And by telling them this you would be doing them (as well as everyone who did, and didn't enjoy these movies) an injustice. Not because the movies were bad. Personally i kiked them both. But no matter how good something is, there's always room for improvment. Everyone wants the sequels to be better right? Well one gets better by reconising their faults and improving upon them.

Really? Those "Three 2 second scenes" are impacting on your life THAT much? Really?
SlyTF1 wrote: And I thought ROTF was a great sequel. I'd be willing to bet you that in ROTF if they had taken out the part where Simmons pulls down his pants, and cut out the second dog humping scene, and kept the extended version of the forest battle, the movie would be looked upon with as much respect by others than by me. Just change 3 simple 2 second scenes and I bet you, it would have been considered much better..

Look... I know your only 15, but you really need to put more thought into what you say. If you truly think that some complete strangers disagreeing with you on your thoughts about a movie with giant alien robots on the Internet is "BS", and that your going to have to deal with it all your life....
Then I'd hate to see how you react at your first day of work, or have to pay bills, get your first ticket, wife cheating, IRS troubles, putting food on the table for your family.. You know, real life problems.

Yeah. Every time I so much as mention that I like this movie, someone wants to kill me.

That's what I'm afraid of.

This is my fear.
If it's appropriate to be anxious about things, I'm anxious about the idea that a TF trilogy, topped off with a TF4 featuring Unicron, may cause difficulties in the decision to reboot the films if the next set is intended to be capped off with Unicron again.Chances are the rebooted series will either be phenomenal with something other than Unicron, The same old same old with a new gloss, or abandoned, or a hairy crossover, theoretically with GI Joe, which I for one...nope.
I wasn't a Seibertronian then, but unless I'm wrong, Unicron was intended for TF2, but got avoided because the Fantastic 4 sequel was aiming at a planet sized villain as well. For me, that's the hand of God nudging Transformers along to a TF3 and TF4 that MAY otherwise never have been.
For the record, I want Unicron too,(they're crazy if they don't feature him!) and I'm not ignoring Bays contribution to the Franchise (as well as the thousands? of people who helped him, sometimes defying him). I would just like to see more directors and writers give to the new waves of TF fans (obviously and the old as well) before the Unicron storyline POTENTIALLY shuts it all down for a very long time.
Joshua Vallse wrote:As much as I hate to disrupt whats going on...I'm gonna attempt to get this thread back on track...
UNICRON!
Don't know about the Fantastic Four issue, honestly I know alot of people at Hasbro and even some producers were all for Unicron really, it turned out to be Bays preffrence not to do Unicron...just cause he didn't want to which is about the extent of his reasoning with alot of things TF. In this reboot however, Unicron could be used as a larger story arc to span three films, or "thee" main plot for a final fourth film, it all depends on how one works things out.
I will list one other thing which may have people cheering or squirming....GIVE ME MY DINOBOTS!
And Reboot the constructicons..I need me an all out bout between Devastator and the Dinobots.
Plus, it would be nice to have a true combiner in a Transformers Film.
Burn wrote:meh, I kinda like the prospect of a massive invasion fleet for TF3 rather than Unicron.
I mean really, big huge planet turns up all set to devour the Earth.
The general public will be thinking "Death Star rip-off" or "they did something similar in the Fantastic Four movie".

To be honest, I'm with others that Unicron isn't the best of idea's. And if we truly do have Bay to thank/blame for this, then I'm cool with that. But to be honest, if it truly is up to Bay and Bay alone which characters are chosen for the films (which i strongly doubt he is the final say and not Hasbro) then i still don't think its fair to bash on him for those decisions. Preference is preference my friend. And its not fair to get upset at someone because their's differs from ours.
I'm with Burn though that a full scale invasions beats a planet eating bot any day of the weeks. For me it adds more possibilities. More conflict.

Joshua Vallse wrote:As for the Death Star reffrence....meh. I honestly really don't see it in that light at all, in fact I never even thought of it till brought up in this thread. It's a valid point, but I think that other then....they're both shaped like planets....thats where simularities end. I mean, Unicron doesn't have a small exhaust port on his alt mode surface that if fired upon will cause said robot to explodeUnicron is Unicron, simple as that, he's a giant bot who eats...not shoots, eats planets.

You're thinking as a TF fan, not a member of the general movie going public who know bugger all about Transformers and just go for the boom booms.
Joshua Vallse wrote:And now, Dinobots! I thinking personally the best way to execute a Dinobot is to do a triple changer, meanig give Grimlock a Dino Mode, as well as a vechicle mode. This ideal was thought up by someone else in the fan art thread I think, or maybe it was here too, but I think it would be a great ideal honestly. Unless you give the autobots a lair, a place to hide out, you need to give the dinobots a means to blend in or you'll just keep seeing dinobots roaming around every other day....hence the best way to combat that is a triple changer mode.

mY INITIAL IMPRESSION WOULD BE TO KILL YOU But after taking a deeeeeeeeeep breath and re-reading your words objectively, you're right. Dinobots with third vehicle Altmodes would help them rock up to every fight instead of have to get carted around. There IS the N.E.S.T jet,tho....can it lift 5 Dinobots? (Will they resist trashing it?).
If they create Dinobots with Bot modes that look like SkyLynx, I'll cry, then defect to GoBots fandom.
As for Unicron, and all the other posters who aren't ready to play around with Dinobot love just yet:I'm thinking he can't attack Earth in Bot mode- one swipe and he's demolished the crust and that'll frag the atmosphere, killing us all and ending the movie... unless he doesn't Transform (no point in that) it's most likely he'll have to attack Cybertron. It can survive a few swipes and then the populace can fight back.
Oh, wait...nobody lives on Cybertron anymore...and it's out of Energon...damned it's- not-a-G1-remake-plotholes....nothing but problems!
