The rumor was that the individual bots do not form Devastator on their own. I am surprised the packaging does not say "Collect all constructicons to form devastator"![]()
I have no clue if they do or don't. If they form devastator, I might have to buy it.
Overcracker wrote:I believe he is referring to ROTF Movie Devastator.
However that is also somewhat incorrect.
As fo this writing there are 3 confirmed versions of the Movie Revenge of the Fallen Devastator/Constructicons.
First there the Combining Devastator. This one is made of the 6 constructicons, and can disassemble into individual constructicons. However These constructicons don't have robot modes, only Vehicle modes. The constructicons will be sold together in a box set.
Then there is the set of constructicons that are sold separately that have Both Vehicle and robot forms but cannot combine to form Devastator. These are larger figures, with more complex transformations but lack the ability to combine.
And lastly there's the recently revealed Legends class Devastator. This is comprised of apparently 7 constructicons that have both robot and vehicle modes and can combine to form Devastator.
However this version is quite small. Maybe around 9 inches tall when combined.
We still don't know if these will be sold separately or as a box set.

there is no way that rumor is true! the combiners in energon for example: you did not have to buy the combined form of hot shot and inferno, then inferno and hot shot by themselves. and the energon superion maximus you did not buy the superion robot then the six that made him up. well you could but you would have doubles of each robot. what started this ridiculous rumor?

i am aware that he is referring to that but why the hell would it be any different from all the different combiners over the years? hasblow would never do that unless they want to have no money come in.

Your're wrong. The main toys that turn from vehicle to robot can not combine to form Devastator. The actual Devestator figure is a separate toy where the vehicles turn into the appendages to make Devestator. The only one that does combine is the legends set. So the original poster was correct.

transman487 wrote:so i was looking at the ez devastator preorder on bbts and i was a little confused about pricing. the legends devatator is $54.99 which seems very expensive expecially when you can get the supreme devatator for probabley around $50.00 or $60.00.
so which one would be smarter to get price wise

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

He converted the Fobbiden Planet GBP price into USD.
