It's occurring for me with two topics I created.Sabrblade wrote:Burn wrote:Blast Cannon wrote:Yeah and annoyingly posts are still not appearing in the 'view my posts' function.
I'll bring that one to Ryan's attention. How many others are having this problem?
I did check that before I posted.Seibertron wrote:Any chance they're going to your spam folder or something?

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

And I did not receive a notification for your reply to this.
I have since restarted everything. We'll see if that helps.
Well I was notified of this reply. Very strange. Seems to be working fine now. Sorry to bother you with it.Seibertron wrote:Cobotron wrote:I did check that before I posted.Seibertron wrote:Any chance they're going to your spam folder or something?

Restarting your computer will have no effect on this. It's either an issue with your email or with the server, but since some notifications are going out, I'm more inclined to think it's an issue with your settings or your email account. It's either an all or nothing thing. Either the notifications work or they don't work. It doesn't work for some and not others. Most likely when a user isn't receiving notifications but others are, it's because of something wrong with their end.

I clicked the link but it didn't take me to my "View Your Posts" page. And, no, neither of the two threads I linked to appear in my "View Your Posts" page on my end, and haven't done so ever since I created either of them.Seibertron wrote:
The first topic you linked shows up right here in your posts: search.php?st=0&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&author_id=44889&start=100

Where are you experiencing this issue at? Is it from your user profile or somewhere specific? I looked up a user's posts earlier today from his profile, which worked fine. Perhaps there's a bad link or something somewhere that needs to be corrected of which I'm unaware.

It's happening for a number of threads that I'm involved with. They're simply not showing up in my 'view your posts' function. It isn't limited to any one sub-forum either, I post in a number across Toys Discussion, General Discussion and General TF discussion and quite a number are not showing up. Including, funnily enough, this thread.
For me, it only seems to happen with threads that I have created as the OP. Any other thread I post in that someone else started shows up for me in my "View Your Posts" page.Seibertron wrote:If one of you can provide a half dozen or so examples of topics that aren't showing up for you, I can look into it further with your specific account(s). URLs to the missing posts would be most useful so that I can see exactly what's missing.

That sounds exactly like a spambot. Where are you seeing these?

*points to the numbers in your name and the average number of posts you make a day compared to other members*![]()
(The smilies are (mostly) fixed btw)
Little bit of a secret ... spammers create accounts all the times, but the first post of a new user has to be approved. They're normally pretty easy to spot though so we deal with them before regular members can actually see them.
If one makes it through, just use the "Report this post" button and then I'll deal with it and Cobotron.

Yeah, they probably are spambots, and we deal with them as they attempt to spam. Don't worry about them.

I just deposited a check for one of them and wired them the money; I'm in trouble aren't I?
