ROTF at least could use the writers' strike as a crutch. What's DOTM's excuse?

Please don't tell people such things. If they don't go to the theater, it won't make it's money, and then we suffer in the long run.
We want and need this movie to do well.

While watching DOTM, I kept thinking "Maybe I've outgrown this kind of thing".
Then I realized that I still enjoy these types of movies and the Transformers franchise.
I reached the point where I simply didn't care and was tired of it.
Some new faces may be introduced, but it was the same human characters cracking the same jokes and the same robots beating the crap out of each other.
The first time around, it was fresh and exciting.
After the 3rd time, it was just boring to me.

Yeah, i hate to defend a Uwe Bay film, but for what it was, it was a pretty badass movie. You just gotta watch it without the G1 analytical mind intact. Thats what i did and i enjoyed it.

Then jumping out of an airplane and transforming mid-air. Epic!! And this time around we just see him drving down the the street?? Truely disapointing, but got over it after his trailer transformed into his weapons depot!

Same here. To be honest, if it wasn't for seeing the pics of him on set, i don't think i would have even known he had a tanker trailer. At least we got to see him transform. Thats one thing i was disapointed with Sentinel Prime. I was really looking forward to seeing a good shot of him transforming. But all we got were a couple shots when he was running away.

I thought the movie was great, though. I wish Shockwave had some more speaking roles and that Megatron could have had a better fight with Optimus, but it didn't ruin the movie for me. I also want a Cyberverse toy of Shockwave's worm thing!

Yes I have to concur w/u there...After reading the spoiler about Ironhide's death at Sentinel Prime's hand made me very upset, angry and i just cried. I hope that I dont stand up in the theatre and scream Noooo!!! when Ironhide dies... I knew Sentinel would do something bad, but at the time I could not put my finger on it. He has the same personality like he was in G1 and G2, a total jerk and im being nice here. I'd kill Sentinel, that traitor, as well for that he did to Ironhide; as Ironhide is my Favourite Character... after all I have a 2006 Black TopKick w/stacks exactly like Ironhide's Vehicle! w/his name on his licence plate and the Autobot Emblem on his back tailgate (not the same one from BotCon, as mine is nicer). I'll feel strange getting into my Topkick knowing that the character is dead....I hope that they bring Ironhide back! Probably not...I have yet to see the movie, wont be able to see it till July 7th.

I thought most of the plot points were obvious enough to figure out, even though they weren't directly explained.
I was confused and upset about Ironhide's death. I watch these movies to be entertained and I don't often question why things happen. This one really got me though. Sentinel shot Ironhide. Why did Ironhide disintegrate after being shot? They didn't mention Sentinel have some weapon that would do that. All the other bots survived unless their heads got destroyed. When you kill off a major character, you need to adress stuff like that. Hell, they zoomed in on Ironhide's head as he dissolved. There was also no mention of Ironhide through the rest of the movie. I haven't gotten this worked up about a movie death since Serpentor threw a snake through Duke's chest!
I loved the way they trashed Chicago. From the previews, I assumed that the 'Cons were going to Invade and the 'Bots and humans were trying to stop them. I thought they did a brillian thing with having the Cons take Chicago and the Bots having to try to get it back against impossible odds.
I don't like the inclsuion of Decepticon military vehicles. I would rather see the Cons doing the fighing using alt modes to fly around. Seriiously, you can fly. Why build a little attack ship to fly around in? I can see using a huge ship to transport lots of troops across space, but those little fighter ships seemed redundant.
Someone above mentioned the plot differences between the book and the movie. I checked out the comic adaptation yesterday. I hope that when they release the movie on DVD, they include the "directors cut" because I would love to see the twins get gacked and see the book ending where Megatron goes back to Cybertron. That seems like a more "Transformers" ending to me. I don't disagree with Prime killing Megatron, but they manner in which it was done leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I thought the 3D work was the best I've ever seen. I thought it blew away the 3d from Avatar. Sure there were 3d gimmick moves during the movie, but that's going to happen in any 3d movie.
I will see this move 3 or 4 more times before it is out of theaters.

yes I am upset about Ironhide's death, and I have not seen the movie yet, just read it as a spoiler a few days ago. Ironhide is my favourite Character! I even have a Topkick exactly like the character's vehicle mode. Now I will feel odd getting into my Topkick when I know the character is dead.hmmm? I even cried at the fact that Irohide is dead... I hope that I dont stand up in the theatre and scream NOOOOO!!!! When Ironhide is brutally killed...
What did Ironhide do to Bay to get him Killed? probably Bay didnt like him, hope they bring Ironhide back in TF4, Probably not
