For me, that is the more iconic and more fun transformation, so I want this to happen!

ME TOO! I love it when the transformations are actually creative, and not just repeating themselves. That's why I'm kinda wishing I could get Smartrobin... but by the time I can, he'll be gone probably. He's already gone at most places.

Yup, it's official... This will be my MP Hot Rod (I already have Classics) and DX9 Carry (excellent figure) is my MP Rodimus Prime.

Except Carry is not official.

But I agree with you on this MP, it will be my Hot Rod for certain. MP-09 never did it for me as Hot Rod, he was always Rodimus Prime. But as Rodimus, he does just fine, so as much as I like the vehicle mode of Carry, I will pass on him.

Yes and no. The seekers are all TTMall exclusive so the price tag is boosted up since they have to come from hasbro asia instead of Takara, hence why they end up being 200$. That price is not indicative of the figure itself but of the hoops and loops american retailers have to get through to have him. So in short, Shockwave is close to the price of exclusive seeker MPs. But if he is not an exclusive, than that price is ridiculous.

It's probably not even ever stated but he knows that if he wants to keep getting those free toys, he cant say anything too bad about them. That compromises his integrity, its a big price to pay and it makes his reviews as useful as a post of in hand images with a list of articulation. Even beyond all that, the fact that you receive a toy for free makes it harder to be unbiased when saying if you would recommend him since you didnt need to actually spend any of your money on it. I also see this in video game reviews when a new game comes out and people get a free copy.

I'm lucky, people already know my integrity is compromised. I also really can't hide it when a toy is crap. Anybody remember the time delay on BBTS between the announcement of Takara MPs and the figures with the coins? I'm holding off making pre-orders on Hot-Rod and Shockwave until the coin option is up

You buy your figures so I do not doubt your integrity. When a toy is crap you say so. But in general, reviews of hasbro products dont shy away from the negatives. Its the 3p stuff that is overly biased. And thats super sad for consuerms because its those products that are a bigger gamble and expense.

I have seen 0 reviews that actually prepared me for X Transbots Appolyon. Mine came with bugs that are still not answered for. I am sorry if this is not the place to discuss this.

But bringing it back, this is why I prefer official products such as this Hot Rod which will be preordered when it comes to Amiami or BiginJapan (I highly recomend anyone who is curious of these to not succumb to these fake price preorders we see here and to wait to see how cheap these can actually be, such as Ironhide for 62,59$US). I am always more aware of what I am getting into with official products due to the honesty of the reviews for higher ticket items. And when it comes to Takara, I can usually count on quality.

Fellow Seibertronians xMXUx, Demonology7789 and Autobot Genocide, have some info our way concerning the upcoming release of Masterpiece Hot Rod (Hot Rodimus). We have a new photo courtesy of Kapow Toys on facebook as well as the listing for this toy on both Robot Kingdom (for 59.99$) and Anime Export (for 46.94$), both far more reasonable prices than previously announced.
These are the first prices actually based on the newly revealed MSRP of 8000 Yen and keep in mind that the Anime Export issue is the Japanese release without coin while the Robot Kingdom release is the Asia release with coin. This confirms that the figure is not exclusive in Japan. This figure is said to be released in February 2016. Below you will find a slew of images showcasing the alt mode as well as all the accessories Hot Rod comes with.
