Yeah I think they could get away with that. Pretty sure that they are damaging their pre-orders by not showing the whole combiner upfront though. It would be really cool if the sixth were a parts former that somehow stowed the hands, feet, and breastplate.

I've lost hope that the 6th is a kibble holder when they said it was 6 bots. I don't know how kibble parts would turn into a legitimate bot.

We simply just don't know at this point what the outcome is going to be. Look at the facts, and therefore likely senarios.

The first two pieces we have been shown, clearly represent "Air Raid" and "Fireflight". We have been shown coloring, or what will be close to final coloring, which further prove what they are intended to be. Also, we have been shown what part they play in the larger combined figure, Air Raid left leg, Fireflight right arm. This is right on so far. This would suggest that this will at least somewhat resemble "Superion".

Now comes the news that there will be 6 figures and there is a form of the next character.

6 figures throws us all for a loop how, where, what, etc... we just don't know. The form is clearly a SR-71, there was no such Aerialbot character, who is this? The robot form suggests Silverbolt could be a possiblity given its stance. It was more likely thought it was Silverbolt before the confirmation of 6 figures, which would make sense, but if there is 6, it very well may not be. In the TFC Toys facebook page, when looking at the SR-71 form, it looked to me like a wing shape underneath the plane itself. Could this be a chest shield? Another character? It's all speculation with the latest information. Tell you what, TFC Toys is keeping everyone wondering. Is it genius?

Well, looks like I was on the right track. TF Source is reporting that the 6th member comes with the 5th member, and that it is the chest shield. The 5th member "Silverbolt", will be larger then the others, and somewhat more expensive.

I personally don't care that Silverbolt isn't a Concorde for this.

While this will most likely end up as a definitive version of Superion in the combined mode, I think it's plenty fair for TFC to give their interpretations a facelift. They pulled off Devastator so I think they know what they're doing here. My confidence was restored when the 6th bot is basically nothing more than a Mario power mushroom.

I will reserve final judgement after I see a prototype of Silverbolt as well as size comparison photos.

I am curious as to how they plan to handle the coloring of Silverbolt since SR-71's tend to be black in color. I'm wondering if they will stick to that or change the color for the sake of Silverbolt.

Maybe they'll go for a black plane with a white undercarriage? That way the robot can still be white (depending on the transformation, of course) That would work on Universe Silverbolt because the plane is kind of bolted on to the robot.

I'm glad the sixth bot is a kibble bot. Also glad i kept my pre-orders. "Silverbolt" being a SR-71 could work. The SR-71's prototype was called the A-12 Avenger and was a whiteish silver color.

That was what I was thinking. I could do a silver version-actually makes more sense with his name.

I'm still waiting to see more before I consider pre-ordering any of these again.

I think the change of Silverbolt to a SR-71/A-12 Avenger makes sense since all the other jets are combat planes and the Concorde was more of a passenger plane. Either way I think this set will turn out well considering TFC's work on Hercules.

Is it not possible that the SR-71 is the sixth kibble bot that also transforms into an aircraft? Just seems odd that they'd go so much for toy accuracy then change things around like that.

TFC had me with Hercules from the word go, but with Uranus I think I'm going to have to wait to see the complete picture first.

First... considering the SR-71's nickname is "Blackbird", I can't imagine it's going to be anything besides black...

Second... where's this A-12 Avenger talk coming from? I'm no aviation expert, but the two look nothing alike.

Third... isn't an SR-71 bigger than these other planes? I doubt it's the "kibble bot".

I meant YF-12 not the A-12. And i could have swore i saw pics of it in aluminum finish(unpainted)(i know it used other metal alloys). The XF-108 would also be a good alternate had they not picked an alt mode yet.

I've seen a few things around like that... but it all seems to be just fanart. The XF-108 is about 20 feet shorter than the SR-71... however, the Concorde was another 100 feet beyond that at over 200 feet in length. They SHOULD have just left it as a Concorde... as Silverbolt's character was based around him being a transport unlike the others... but I'm sure TFC is just scared of getting shut-down if they don't stray a bit from G1.

These aren't Transformers... as much as they're trying to appeal to Transformers fans... you can only ask for so much... and they're already pushing the boundaries. Only ask for it to be a major kick-ass transforming toy that pays homage to your childhood Transformers fantasies & you'll ALL be happy... granted you can afford it, unlike myself.

I think you are thinking of the McDonnell-Douglas A-12 Avenger. The use of the name "Avenger" in previous posts is unfortunate. Indeed, there was a Lockheed A-12and a Lockheed YF-12 before the SR-71 Blackbird. It appears that the A-12 spawned both the YF-12 and the Blackbird. But all three look remarkably alike. And indeed, there exists pictures of the A-12 that are not all black.

Thanks, guys. I haven't had a chance to geek out about aircraft like this in a while. :D

Back to the topic at hand. I have the FP Superion add-on. It looks great! I love it in both separated plane modes and in full combined Superion glory. But, man, these are looking great! I have Herc and am impressed with it. If it wasn't for the Microsoft Surface I will be buying soon (job-related) I would be all over this. I am very tempted, indeed.
