That sounds painful.

Not sure if it is newsworthy per se, but look what I got at Walmart today. Saw it yesterday, but then today saw Undertone was Ratchet's side kick, and I wanted Hammer and Anvil to go with Bisk, and Slipstream is the first weaponizer minicon, so I bought it today!!

The minis and Overload are the only RiD figures I have in my dorm, but I think these will be enjoyable:

The guy on the left is cool and reminds me of one of the bosses from Mega Man.



Isn't that a Slipstream or Jetstorm redeco?

Yep, Slipstream is the red guy in weaponizer form, the white one is Undertone, the red one is Hammer and the purple one Anvil. I like all of them. The cyclones are pretty nifty and the dragon Hammer is awesome. Slipstream is the real winner though. The weapon form is nice and I really like him in weapon mode. Plus, he does have a new headsculpt

Well, after seeing them appear on HTS, I placed my order. Thunderhoof and Quillfire are on the way!! And with those 2, I now have all the Transformers I want that are currently out and will be out for probably the next 2 months

Alright, now allow me a few moments to utterly gush. Actually, we'll start with Quillfire first. He is a fun little dude! I love how stocky he is, all his quills, and he is very unique! good articulation, good altmode, and even a fun monster truck mode!

Now for gushing: I love Thunderhoof. He is my favorite character from the show, so I am biased, but he is a great figure! His alt mode is an awesome blue combine and it literally shows no robot mode parts save the head, but that makes it fun! His transformation is very involved for being so simple and he pulls off one of the greatest robot modes of the line. He has no backpack, no kibble. instead, he has huge beefy arms making him look like the strong brute he is. His antler, oh the antlers. YES!! Finally a mold gets it right! and his legs are long and have great hooves. He is extremely dynamic and is in my opinion the best con we have gotten from the line, just barely beating Fracture. paint is in there, but overall it's where it really needs to be. And his gun stores in both modes and he's just a badass!

This is great news but now I am conflicted. Is he so good that the mold makes up for the lack of paint and show accuracy? Or because he is so good, it would be even better to get him in sho accurate deco? As in giving the mold the deco it deserves. Does buying him at the discount in any way influence your opinion or would you have bought both of these at full price if you knew how good they were?

Those are the questions I am asking. I got Quillfire at the same discount you got him and love him and I actually think he doesnt need a better deco. But I cant be sure for Thunderhoof.

Welcome to the Den Will!

Now, to answer your questions. I love Thunderhoof (how many times can I say it) so as soon as I saw him for retail I was getting him, that was a fact. The mold itself is really good. The only thing that you may not like is the shoulders, which are a bit funky, but they still pull off the good articulation you would expect. Honestly, if you saw him in store, I would pick him up! But at the same time, it is perfectly ok to wait until the takara version. The guy is excellent without the takara job but with it it is probably perfect, as close to a masterpiece as Thunderhoof could get really. All depends on your point of view really!

And the free shipping was definitely a bonus and I loved it, and loved how quick he came. I'm really enjoying him and Quillfire, and I fully agree about how well the different plastic colors are for Quill.

So, short story long, If you see him buy him in store, or wait the extra smidge of time and get Takara, cause either one is Thunderhoofery delicious!

Ok guys, I have a serious dilemma here that I would like some advice on.

So I found a set of Magnaboss stickers on Ebay and am currently trying to win them. They are at $15.50 right now with free shipping, loads below what everything else is. In the off chance I should win them, who would go best with Silverbolt, Ironhide and Prowl to form Magnaboss besides the 2 from botcon? I just can't afford to pay $120 with shipping to get them with the stickers, so if I would win them I would want 2 other limbs to finish him.

Va'al, I know you got to read the comic, so maybe there are 2 other characters in there that got spotlight that happen to be in combiner wars? The sticker sheet comes with extra Maximal symbols so if there are few enough autobot symbols i can make the 2 new ones maximals.

Hmm, well that would keep the same molds, but I can't really get Streaker to be Cheetor. I was kinda thinking either Trailbreaker, Air Raid or maybe some other Aerialbot. I'm just not really sure.

I mean, I really like Trailbreaker and air Raid and their molds, just a matter of trying to explain it to myself. Would be easier if they showed up in the comic.
