And I get the feeling Ratchet, Magnus, and maybe Megs are the G1 characters, not new namesakes.
Plus, Spike Daniel, and Carly make a cameo.
Plus the G1 footage.
Plus everything.

Stormwolf wrote:Oh, about the footage, some footage was from MTMTE part 1.
Anyway people, there is no connection to G1 and BW whatsoever. It's never been implied that it was and it would not make sense continuity wise. All the original G1 stuff was put in there as a nod to the older fans.
Nemesis Cyberplex wrote:Honestly, the only thing I think is more appealing to children are the fact that shows with this style of animation are forced on children & put in prime time slots. They really just watch because it's transformers, & it's the only choice they're getting for giant transforming robot-on-robot (on giant cockroach) action.Defcon! wrote:The animation style is just like batman and the other so named animated series. They may differ a little with a few tweaks here and there but the style is the same. Less detailed and cost effective but more appealing for children.

One, I kind of wish Starscream had had the brains to try to pull off "Hey, I'm an Autobot too!" trick, turn people against the Autobots, but that would have probably screwed the whole thing up. Two, since all the tech is based off of Megatron, wouldn't it be feasible for him to take control of it? At least if Sumdac used code from him, anyways.
As I understand it, Megatron is subliminally having Sumdac rebuild him. I'm assuming that Sumdac would subconsciously hope Megatron is an Autobot during said process.

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

What opening theme song? There wasn't an opening, at least not on Wednesday.

Cartoon Network's Saturday morning and Comcast/Brighthouse/Time Warner's Kids On Demand (Free) airings both had/have an opening sequence, which is really quite well done.
Even better than the ones found on YouTube. Nice to see that they put some work into this show for once.

You can't get much younger than 5....that's how little I was when I started watching G1. Does this mean Animated is geared towards kids that can't hardly even walk yet? Fetuses?Defcon! wrote:Nemesis Cyberplex wrote:Honestly, the only thing I think is more appealing to children are the fact that shows with this style of animation are forced on children & put in prime time slots. Yes very true but look at the animation of most cartoons on today compared to years ago. They're geared for a way younger audience. Although i guess if i was a kid i would watch anything with giant transforming robot-on-robot (on giant cockroach) action too!

I'm just kidding. But seriously, saying something's "redisigned for a new generation" is honestly a cheap coverup for saying, "yeah, we didn't want to pay as much as we did then, so we're going cheap & putting up a half-arsed effort, but we're going to tell you it's better & give you no other choice untill you agree."
It's been happening in animation for years.....hell go look at older Looney Tunes cartoons & some of the newer ones when Chuck Jones took over. The earlier stuff looked almost like paintings what with all the detail they put into them.

THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO CARE ABOUT CONTINUATION ISSUES BETWEEN THE NEW SHOW AND THE 80'S SHOW ARE 30 SOMETHING GUYS WHO HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO BUT whine ON A WEB SITE (I guess this must include me).
but relay people this is with out a doubt the best TF show Since the beat wars.
every compliant i have read so far has either to do with continually or appearance.
BUT we (30's male) are not the target market. Kids are. My 7 year old son likes it way better then Energon or Ceibertron.
So stop your whining and appreciate that this is finally getting a new generation of TF fans involved. AEC did not grab the imagination or interest of kids. The new TF show does. that is all that matters.

1.) No one's whining about G1 continuity issues. Seeing the links and whining are two totally different issues. (though, it's nice to see that you're admitting that YOU are whining. YOU.)
2.) I'm not 30, or above. (saying all of us fit that is incorrect, much like the craptacular tone of your introductory post. Yay us.)
3.) A lot of people appreciate and accept the series and find it to be the next big thing for TFs. (saying otherwise means you just want to see what you want to see and focused mainly on a few negative posts. Which, last I checked...are still allowed because people are entitled to an opinion. If that changes, please...let us know.)
4.) Welcome to Seibertron. Warning. Seibertron contains nuts.
Gah...I hate it when people speak for others. Sends me into ballistically angry territory.

Well, there was that black-haired Chibi-Velma (from Scooby-Doo) standing next to the kid with Ben's voice from Ben 10, when he asks Sumdac how he came up with his robot idea.
