Yeah, but I don't think we've seen the last of him. ;)

I'm kinda doubtful of that. Zombie Skyquake is trapped in the parallel dimension, so unless a future episode sees the portal reopened, I don't think he'll be coming back again.
I mean, why would they bother to go to all the trouble of bringing him back as a zombie, not killing him, and then reminding us that he's still unalive and kicking at the episode's conclusion? Like, if he were to be just a discarded character that were supposed to ignroe and forget about, then what was the point of showing us that one final glimpse of him at the end of the episode?

It was a joke, he tried to put on Starscream's arm and found that it did not fit him, you know right after Starscream remarked that the arm (Skyquake's) wasn't his. It was basically one of those throwaway insult to injury jokes a sort of punch-line.

I think it was great that Starscream refused the null ray upgrade. Lovely bit of G1 tidbits there.

i'm really enjoyin prime... i agree there good be a bit more optimus characterisation but i see the reason for this in that he's already very fleshed out to the writers... bulkhead and arcee have more room to manoeuvre - with prime they have to stay within the confines of the g1 / movie prime. In animated they called him optimus prime but he could've been rodimus.

besides he's the most adult like figure together with ratchet - the latter compensates with his curmudgeony humour. Prime retains the gravitas of a marine commander or school head - so for a kids' series it might be a bit more difficult for the writers to have fun with.

Otherwise it was a top show - some fun starscream moments...him and knock out would make a great tv talk show duo
My personal prime collection so far in descending order of how great i reckon the toy is -
FE Prime, Silas Breakdown (Powerizer), Dreadwing (Powerizer), FE Bulkhead, Voyager StarScream (Powerizer), Ratchet, Soundwave, Arcee, Voyager Megatron (Powerizer), Wheeljack, Thundertron (Powerizer), Ultra Magnus (Powerizer), Knockout, Cliffjumper, Bumblebee,Airachnid

I really enjoyed the epiosde, but the previews gave a totally diferent idea:
I though Megatron would put Dark Energon Starscream against his will,to make Starscream "see his point of view",never though that Skyquake would like that.
I still dont understand why Megatron didnt kill Starscream, that impression the previous episode gave

Weapon: Reciprocating Laser Cannon
Instead of watching it weekly, I just watched ep. 10-to now in one swoop, and I like the new decepticons, especially Knockout, and it's good to see some more character models in work.

As for the episodes, they seem to be fluctuating between G1-BW levels, and now they stole an idea from Sliders (yes, there were actually two episodes that were about the Sliders trapped in semi-parralel dimensions, or as they called, the Astral Plane)

The weakest episode so far in my opinion was Predatory - it seems Orci/Kurzman opened up the wrong series about Predators... I mean, Predacons.

The Astral Plane is not exclusive to one series. It has been used in many series ranging from Marvel Comics to Dungeons & Dragons to even the Marvel G1 Comics.

 :-o Dude, "Predatory" was epic! The first high quality episode of the series! It completely blew away all the previous 11 episodes by a long shot. It was dark, gritty, intense, suspenseful, dramatic, edgy, tragic, and engaging. It was the only episode I watched a second time because I actually wanted to, and had me on the edgy of my seat in both sittings. 8)

There have been no less than three episodes like that in Stargate. And I think it's a safe bet Star Trek would have a handful of episodes like that as well.

Yeah, it was THE best episode in the series so far.

Weapon: Null-Ray Rifle
Just saw this last episode(Im a bit behind cuz of my schedule).
What was the point of that episode? Just to bring back Skyquake for a future episode later on, 5 episodes down the line? What a let down from the last episode. I was ready to see Megatron reclaim everything and go after Starscream or the Autobots or something. Instead we got an episode of Miko and friends being chased by an arm. This episode was the was frivolous.....(for sh*ts and giggles if you will). Megatron may as well stay in stasis. I dont know where this series is headed or why they're taking sooo long to get to more serious matters and interaction.

I do think its pretty funnny their explanaition for things like the space bridges.

"The space bridges are being intertwined in a lost dimension in between parallel worlds......"

ok sure Ratchet, I guess that works. :P

What I got out of this episode were all the Starscream moments. Every moment of his in this episode further helped in the guy's development.

but other than that, yeah this one was a bit of a downer. Episodes 12-14 are gonna be tough to top (especially episode 12). ;)

I suspect the point of this episode was indeed to develop Megatron’s character, just in a more subtle manner.
:-?
Note: Megatron
1) Had every reason to kill Starscream  but didn’t.
2) Not only left him alive but presumably with his rank intact.
3) Eggs Screams on.
4) Let Screams have not only the run of the ship but access to the ground bridge.
5) Let Screams keep the dark energon shard.

Suppose Megatron learned his lesson this time. Namely, attacking the Autobots head on is too dangerous and will take too many resources. So he spares Starscream, lets him make his plans, and had Soundwave recording as they fail one by one. Megs waits, watches, learns, and plots. I think their trying to build Megs up a more of a tactical genius this time and I predict before this season is up we’ll see Megs pulling a Xanatos Gambit on the Bots.

Shadowzone was OK. But seriously, Megatron was gone for almost 10 episodes and now they're going to forget him some more.

I personally think that they should've made Airachnid: Blackarachnia.

I so far am 75% OK with this series
25% dead with this series.

The same character in 3 series? Blasphemy!
What is she, Optimus/starscream/bumblebee/ironhide/ratchet/arcee/bulkhead/prowl/wheeljack/Megatron/soundwave/shockwave/(it goes on, insert who I've missed)? :P

I like the "new character" idea (similar to a few, but with some quirks of their own). Sure we could do the same thing again and piss off a few and "nerdgasm" some others, but a new character with their own personality is ok in my book.

Hell they COULD even do a fan wank of an ex-con Black Arachnia as a different character who's out to get Airachnid...

I love the homages/old jokes. I expect them even, but without new life its all the same thing all over again.

I think it is a bad idea as well. It robs a show of all momentum.

It has robbed other shows of their viewers as well, leading them to be cancelled. As far as i know all season 1 episodes are finished and ready to air so this break makes no sense!

botcon is coming up. airing new episodes around it lessens the hype.

its also strategic marketing. they give us a taste so we come back for more, rather than giving us our fill and we forget about it for a while

I think they're also trying to spread out the first season to last throughout this year. The first five episodes aired in 2010, so they gotta space out the remaining 21 episodes of this 26-episode season to span 365 days.

I think one way that this could be done worse is if the season was only 13 episodes long instead of 26. If that were the case, then they'd probably only air new episodes on a monthly basis. :BLACKEYE:

If thats the case they should be just be airing the shows week to week. If you think about the history of television most TV show seasons are roughly about 25 episodes and start in September (Fall) and usually finish in May (just in time for summer reruns). TF Prime started late in December of 2010 so they should be airing as much as possible to catch up to get back on a regular rotation. But I guess times are different now. The term "Seasons" does not mean what it used to mean. Networks air seasons whenever they want now and sometimes back to back and still call them "Seasons" for some reason.
I think TF Prime is making bad move by taking big breaks. Transformers only has a certain audience. They cant expect children to a follow a show for over a year which means its the older TF fans who are watching devotedly so they shouldn't jerk us around by waiting.
