So given that Metroplex came 1st, then Devastator, then Fort Max, and now Tryppy, is it plausible that Omega Surpeme is next? Or might it be Scorponok?
Insurgent wrote:Huh. To be honest, I'm very underwhelmed. It's just the f1 toy but bigger and more surface detail. It even has the foot prongs from the walking thing. Ugh. I was hoping he would be reinvented a bit, be a bit beefier, better arms or something. You know, like the poster artwork? I'm really not liking how the classics has suddenly gone "must be g1 but with articulation" that the new design team has gone with. I much preferred my classics to be recognisable as the guys but with modern alt modes.
I was holding out hope for this guy, but for the price and shelf space, i think I'll just get the platinum reissue.

They should have made the WfC Trypticon.

You know you can't stray too far from the G1 aesthetic. That's the selling point in the first place. G1!

It's easier said than done with some G1 characters, though. Sure, you can easily update and modernize alternate modes like cars, tanks, jets, helicopters, or current pieces of technology...but how do you really modernize a giant robot "dinosaur" monster per se?

I love what I've see here, but I would love a WFC Trypticon as well!
This is CHUG Trypticon, but based on G1 Tryppy. What padfoo wanted was CHUG WFC Trypticon instead of CHUG G1 Trypticon.fenrir72 wrote:padfoo wrote:Lunatic Prime wrote:Just NO!![]()

I WISH PEOPLE WOULD STOP ASKING FOR A WFC TRYPTICON! COZ THERE IS ONE.....PLANET X IS RELEASING IT........IT'S IN 2 PARTS AND VERY EXPENSIVE!

Well I can't help you there, but for me, it's going to be a case of wherever I can fit him.
Maybe I can lift his arms high enough to balance a shelf and turn him into a coffee table.

Please keep discussion relating to 3P products in the 3P forums

Hmm, well, erm, Takara did kinda scale that MP more in the CHUG size scale than the MP size scale (since Star Saber is supposed to be the height of a combiner).D-Maximus_Prime wrote:That's like saying if someone wants a "Chug Star Saber" they should go out and buy the expensive masterpiece version.

To be a little fair, that artwork was just recycled Legends mobile game art, which Hasbro has taken to lazily reusing (instead of making new art that actually looks like the new toys) rather commonly as of late, regardless of how different the Legends art tends to be from the product it's being used to advertise.Insurgent wrote:As for how to do trypticon? You see that poster that said under construction? And then was fully revealed to show him fighting fortress? Yeah, that's how. If he looked like that, I'd be very tempted to get him.
