*sigh* Disappointed... I was hoping to hear some news on their Not-Throttlebots project. Did they scrap that idea or something? :???:

This seems a baffling decision to me. I'm sure that Hegemon sold well, and I can understand why. Personally, I didn't feel the need to replace my wing-less United Megatron but I can see why people would. But Optimus Prime is just not that bad a figure to warrant any 3rd parties sticking their oars in. I was really hoping that they would tackle Galvatron next. I'm sure that if it scaled with Hegemon, and borrowed some design cues, then we would finally have a decent Galvatron. That would have sold bucketloads, I reckon as many as Megatron.

Because I know that a lot of people kind of like Classics Megatron, and weren't tempted enough to go for Hegemon (Like me). Although I have never heard anyone speak complementary about Universe Galvatron. I picked up a cheap Asian version at Auto Assembly. People looked at me and said "Galvatron eh?" and sighed. "He just falls to pieces when you transform him" they said. "I know" I said, "But at least the colours are a bit better than the Universe version". Seriously, Galvatron sucks. And why not Shockwave? Let's admit that FOC Shockwave kinda sucks too. I would fully trust these guys to make a great Shockwave and Galvatron, based on what they did with Hegemon. But Optimus? No point. No point at all #-o

I agree. I'd have loved Galvatron. Hell, even an IDW Galvatron would be awesome. I'm using a SL Galvatron G right now, but the blue really ruins it for me. I wouldn't mind replacing him with another Galvatron figure.

But Classics Optimus is perfect. I can get why people would want an IDW version, but it's still bizarre as Megatron is very G1 toon inspired.

So is there pics from the comic of what his vehicle mode would look like? Is it straight G1 looking or not really?

It kinda looks g1 well let me put it this way it looks like Ferrari got ahold of hit sorta looks fast. I personally love the IDW look of all the bots I'm tired of the g1 look even know I love I just want something fresh but really cool looking and I think IDW has done it with a lot of the bots in their comics.

I like him. Sure, he's kinda small, but he scales well with Cyclonus and Scourge. Other than that, my only complaint of him is he has stability issues. But he looks awesome and I like his transformation.

I also like universe Galvatron I just wish he was a voyager other than that I have no issue with him

HA HA, alright! Hope I didn't hype it too much. I still think Hegemon looks better, but with almost all 3rd party stuff being $100 a shot now, I need to start picking and choosing.

Fair points. I suppose that the majority of his issues come from the fact he was supposed to be a voyager, and the last-minute resizing introduced all the problems with him falling apart. He looks damn pathetic next to Voyager megs though.

I really want a bad ass prime and the way IDW draws him is how I want him. Well more towards the end of ongoing with the more CYBERTRONIAN look to his earth mode. And I want really good articulation prime always seems to be a little stiff to me and only looks good standing straight up except for mp-10. I pretty much want TFs with marvel legends articulation and I believe it can be done look at perfect effects motobot aka arcee best articulation on a TF to date and hegemon is dam close to. And I love my classics rodimus but they really need to update that mold to. I think that's one of the reasons I like the prime line so much most of the figures have good articulation
