Sadly there isn't a snowball's chance in a furnace that I'll be able to get online in the hope of catching him the two minutes he's available on HTS, so unless I find someone willing to snag one for me I'm outta luck.

I wouldnt be so sure he'd be crazy hard to get online. The dinobots were available for a while.

True, but those were movie bots AND an incomplete set.
This is true G1, not a repainted movie figure.
G1 sells.

Thus, an accurate Prowlastator would require two new figures: Prowl as the upper torso, and a new Hook to form the right leg. In addition, building a Prowl who would be his usual black and white in robot and car mode and green in combined mode would tax even the most brilliant engineer at Takara.
1) Prowl is green in both modes as a constructicon, so it wouldn't be as hard as you are making it out to be.
Prowl is black and white. Period.
That picture you posted of Prowl in green and purple is fanart.

And elbows for Scrapper.

I can say with a fair amount of confidence that that's not happening.

I dunno man, that TakTom teaser silhouette sure made it look like Scrapper had a bent arm.
Until I see different, I remain optimistic.

It's essentially the same kind of compromise that Hasbro has done with the designs for a numbers of CHUG figures, in which cases these figures were all sculpted to be very fiction-accurate (be it to the G1 cartoon or the IDW comics) in robot mode, while their altmodes were instead given more liberties to their looks. Mixmaster's altmode may be different, but his robot mode and leg mode are sculpted to be near-straight up G1.william-james88 wrote:That still seems to go against the general look of the figure that is basically: pure G1. I find that its G1 look is more invasive than it's theme of them being giant mining vehicles.
