This is a new rendition of the Combaticons and Bruticus. They're allowed to be different from their G1 counterparts. If you hate the colors so much, paint 'em youself.

I think they chose those colours for Vortex so that in combined mode, Bruticus's body doesn't blend with Vortex and his cooler colours, making the rest of the limbs seem out of place. Thats my theory anyway.

smart thinking. although, yeah, it does then make Brawl the odd one out. I'd have preferred a blue or purple colour for Vortex myself. Some of the Energon helicopters were quite outlandishly coloured, but I just think that the red and yellow on this particular one, in this particular setting make it look very much like an Autobot. I'd have been quite happy with them having reused Energon Stormcloud's colours in a similar layout, that was badass. Still, like I say, this Vortex does look pretty darn nice.

I'm gonna say here, that this complete combiner does look pretty bad compared to the FP Bruticus, but it's also going to be far easier (hopefully!) and far cheaper to obtain.

I looked at it again and I think the picture is crappy, not the robot.

I would by this from Hasbro as they have it. Large improvement over PPC.

WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE...

Vortex is a abomination to the colorscheme of the original combiner and his own classic colors. In every incarnation of him that's based on G1 in any way or form or name use.... he's always been a either metallic grey/light grey as a primary color.

The gold colorscheme makes him look like he's trying to be a autobot in disguise or came out of the sun.

And the Hasbro photography is as bad as it ever will be.

If Hasbro are smart they'll do boxes of 10, 2 each.

To be honest, I like Vortex's colour scheme, but not as Vortex. He makes for a very unique looking chopper con, but its a shame they used that mould for Vortex.

Seems its time for me to ruin it for those who like Blastoff...

You are totally right. They always do something stupid like that. And its NOT a sure thing that they will be in 1 box set. In fact I would almost bet the bank it WILL NOT be in a box set. Why? because they then have a $50 minimum price tag on 5 deluxes!! Hasbros to greedy and they wont do it. Maybe later in a BBTS exclusive or another "I" store maybe.

If Hasbro were smart, Hasbro would dangle them in front of us like a cat toy, yanking them away just as we're ready to pounce. And they will do this five times. Two to a wave at most.

If they're all deluxes, it won't be a boxset, guaranteed. Though I agree we might see a box set as a store exclusive within a few years (Toys R Us maybe). Oh, yeah, in G1 colors of course.

I'm really OK with all this, though. I could see myself owning this Bruticus three times over. Seriously. I rarely double up on anything, but I definitely want 5 for display, another five for combined mode, and a G1 colors release boxset.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan Blast-off & Vortex looks like they're gonna suffer from GPS somethin' fierce. I like the look of them, and the more I see Onslaught the more I like him. I don't really care for Bruticus as he is for the moment, but I usually give things like this time to show what it's really made of. When comparing it to the concept art Blast-off @ Swindle are upside down on Bruticus and I think it looses something in the toy photo.

I will much rather the United versions I think.

I don't fricken understand why you guys are complaining about. You should be grateful that Hasbro is releasing a Combiner. This hasn't happened in decades. The last combiner we got was Jetfire prime from ROTF. U all should be happy the Bayverse TF toys are over for now and Hasbro is finally going back to making Transformers the way it should be made. Im so sick of everyone complaining about the figure, we havent even seem the actual thing yet. Just stop complaining, remember that Hasbro is a multi-million company and it needs to make money and it targets not only fan but kids as well and they have production regulation and safety conduct and tons of rules that they have to pass before they can release anything in the market. Be a little more considerate and optimistic, Gosh!

Thank you for ur agreement. I don't think its that bad over all. Every figure has its good and bad. I understand everyone's frustration and unsatisfactory but we all need to come down and reconsider the important things, not just the tiniest things that bother us.

Well now. That's HIGHLY disappointing, unfortunately.

Keep in mind that most who complaint here will end up buyin the releases cause in the end, we're all a fan. But there's a fine line of being grateful and just accepting everything being release. Do I hate the toy? Nope, in fact will reserve judgement till i see it at least transformed right.

And what the relation between having a decent toy and safety regulation. To me, bruticus can be better (assume the pic is how he's goin to be) if has bulkier thigh, combination points that are well hidden, right colors, well-proportioned body. What do all these got to do with safety regulations? Unless people here demand a 1:1 scale bruticus that could accidentally stomp or fall on their kid or pets

I understand that everyone wants to give their opinion on the figure but judging it this early doesn't justify anything. Until there is a video review, no one really knows if the figure actually look as bad as the one in the photo.
