That TRU that Will goes to seems to always be well stocked. Ours doesn't even have an entire 4 foot display, is half stocked at best and everything is old stock - except for the 8 Scattershots taking up the place where Sky Lynx would look nice.

I think getting a G1 re-issue works just fine and fits in. It's the right size, it's very accurate to his actual appearances; being a quadruped and sometimes not even that he doesn't actually need much articulation... of all the G1 guys, he works the best with Generations I think.

I fully agree, thats what I did. Aside from the locked in articulation for his motorized feet, there isnt much need for an update.

Swindle and Brawl are best as Bruticus's legs. (Legs ONLY, dammit!!!) Their individual robot modes are passable at best, the vehicle modes are average.

Swindle is such an amazing arm though, I love that dedicated transformation!

Okay, I managed to win a CW Defensor on eBay. wasn't expecting it, but there you go.Anyway, I now need to get Deluxe Groove so I can toss out Rook. Anyone remeber when he is supposed to go on sale?

It's a shame Hasbro didn't release groove fully.

Hasbro's Deluxe Groove which is exactly the same to Takara's Groove (paint apps and all) will be coming out end of May and will not be an exclusive. So yes, he is getting a full release.

Groove is an online exclusive like Quickslinger and Brake-Neck, yes. By "not be an exclusive", I'm guessing Will meant that he won't be tied to a specific online retailer.

Wow, yeah, unfortunately, this seemed to be an issue with a number of them from the start. I remember someone posting something about that way back at the beginning of this thread. I've been really careful of all of my figures from that mold...

This is true. I have Takara UM, and ever since Hellscream's report, I'm ULTRA ( ) careful when transforming those legs. It feels ULTRA sketchy and makes a sound that makes me cringe.

The plastics were different in the past. Takara's Gen Tankor, for instance, has different plastic than Hasbro's.

People seemed to like my pics of my toysrus, but I didnt really get a good shot because there was a ladder in the way. It wasnt the most indicative of the store. Plus, I fond an extra display stand full of TFs today and wanted to share that too. You will noice that there is as much CW as RID. Both are similarly stocked and sell similarly well. And I am still full of Cyclonuses. These pics were all shot this morning:

The more I play around with Brawl the more I simultaneously like him more and dislike him more. I keep finding more sculpted detail which is really wonderful to look at and I'm adoring playing around with the tank mode even without a turret swivel... but man that waist. Thankfully it doesn't come into play in his leg mode, but gosh I thought everything was being over exaggerated about it and I'd be able to deal with it when I got it but my lord is it terrible. I don't think I'd mind so much if it actually was able to lock in somewhere; it especially messes up the arm mode and all. I'm at least still able to get some cool poses out of Brawl but this is some of the worst design I've seen in-hand so far.
