I've not had reason to look in recent times though I do recall it being the case on Cybertron toys.
Close: the ones on the box they were production run numbers. The last major time we paid close attention to them was for DotM Crankcase from 2011, to separate the long fingered from the (badly) clipped and retooled ones.
Nowadays, it seems Hasbro is doing more to help customers differentiate between variants, like placement of accessories in the box.

I just spotted one last week and at a good discount at that.

Am I the only one who has never had a problem with brainstorm? I constantly hear about a floppy neck but mine is nice and tight.

Yeah, there was a large spectrum of qc issues;

You might be the fortunate one. I have the unfixed version. I haven't pulled the little guys head off yet, but he has a bad case of floppy head syndrome. I need to pick up some floor polish one of these days.steals_your_goats wrote:carytheone wrote:The fixed Brainstorm is super easy to spot. Btw any more news on the Sky Reign? He seems to mostly be forgotten about...

Nope, and there probably won't be for a while, unless he shows up at another toy fair somewhere. He isn't due out until wave 2 of next year, so it'll be quite a while probably.

Yeah... Isn't Titan Wars scheduled for later next year?

Unclear; some people think that it'll start at wave 3 next year, but there has been no confirmation of anything. Hasbro has never (to my knowledge) started a new series in the middle of the year, but since it is still 'generations' I guess it doesn't matter when it starts.
Some people have said that we're still due for a third set of '84's (including ratchet) so there's that, but since nothing's been said, we'll probably have to wait until NY Toy fair next year (that's when this year's wave 3 was revealed, with wave 4 being revealed at botcon; so anticipate a similar pattern next year)

Alright that does make sense. Idk though, cuz they have ALREADY released wave 4, and it kinda seems like they are trying to hurry up and release them all as soon as possible, so that they can MAYBE move on to Titan Wars.

That's not necessarily hasbro, it's a complicated issue, but that they have been released already is probably because they were grabbed accidentally for shipment, or there weren't many wave 3 sets (even online) to coincide with stores' orders so shelves (for me) just sit empty.
The only confirmation that we have for titan wars, is that it was a mistake that the art was displayed at botcon; they have not confirmed (even the name I believe) that it is the next line, so we should probably just chill.
It would make sense to at least push out the boxed sets by Christmas though; that was a major highlight of my youth, looking through all the stores to see what their exclusive figures were.
And I maintain that we'll be seeing bigroove and blast-off later next year, once TT have finished with the molds. Along with any possible (sweep) limb for any possible TT Galvatronus - if they are tackling it.

I'm fairly certain that combiner wars was confirmed to last two full years so there's still at least 2 more waves. I personally think they're going to do a team of random decepticon limbs after sky reign and then finish the year with the techno bots.

A potential future toyline that got leaked at Botcon. All the display cases had TITAN WARS backings that showed some funky lineart of headmasters and stuff. We were informed that those displays were put out by mistake and that was all she wrote.

And guys, there is no reason Titan Wars and Combiner Wars cant coexist. Combiner Wars only need the deluxes and voyagers. Titan Wars could use the figures from other classes.

Unless they double the number of figues they put out they can't coexist. Combiner wars technically uses all size classes even though they don't all combine. There's rumors that titan wars Will have Voyager headmasters, deluxe 86 movie characters with Cybertronian alt modes and leader classes with base modes. That's way too much for one line.

Theres a bit more to it. We have seen this image of Blaster which is a headmaster and has other small figures.
Also the generations buzzsaw figure has been confirmed to go in the chest:
Neither of these are combiner wars related and Buzzsaw himself is scheduled for the frst halt of next year.

joeprime276 wrote:Sorry for yet another noob question, but to my understanding (Wikipedia), headmasters are when the head of a transformer turns into a humanoid robot itself. Is that right? Also if Blaster is coming out then do you think a radio (G1 style) Soundwave will come out? And doesn't Buzzsaw go with Soundwave not Blaster?
