Skylynx looks awesome, ive always wanted a g1 skylynx but havent had any luck getting one. This looks like a great stand in. Wheeljack though looks terrible, i was really looking forward to him but now not so much. Looks like a giant white blob, again hasbro ruins a good mold by being cheap.

lol, so you mean it's prowl with a new paint scheme ;)

Well, you may want to reconsider this hobby then, 'cause I doubt it'll ever get any better :(

To be honest, I really like those slots. They aren't visible in shuttle mode (since they face down) while in the other modes they give the wings a more articulated look, as if they can actually flex, bend, and flap.

Sure, they could have made the wings solid with sculpted detail, but it wouldn't look as dynamic. Also, do you know what sculpted detail looks like on white plastic?

Agreed, especially since they allow the blue plastic to be visible, makes it look nice, as well as dynamic, and really seems to break up the deco :-?

Also, wheeljack looks terrible =;

Nah. Whilst the legality of 3P stuff can be brought into question due to the finicky nature of IP, they are actually doing the engineering and design work themselves- they aren't just cloning HasTak's molds or anything, and all their work is from a tangible point of view original. KO makers on the other hand literally just clone other people's hard work without putting in any original work themselves and profit off of actual, undeniable theft.

I never said it was the same thing, I just meant 2 things:

1. There is no honour amongst thieves

2. KOs can be just as handy for a collection. G1s are either expensive or usually found without accessories. So for my incomplete G1 combiners, I use the hands, feet and guns of KOs to complete them:

Gives a new definition to it costing an arm and a leg

My view is still the same as before. Sky Lynx looks fun, I wish he wasn't a combiner but hey, and the limb-bots are still horribly cheap nasty looking junky representations of characters who've had better toys before (Trailbreaker and Hound come off far better than Wheeljack and Smokescreen though).
I have anxiety, depression and aspergers syndrome so my behaviour can be erratic. I don't mean offense to anyone. Just very picky about my Transformers collecting. You're all cool! :)

Likes: Bayverse, Marvel UK G1, Geoff Senior art, '86 movie (more for style/soundtrack rather than Star Wars plot)
Dislikes: Bumblebee movie (lousy rehashed dumb crud), TFA, G1 cartoon, IDW G1, BW/BM, MP. The entire concept of Autobot Megatron

Dude, read between the lines... :HEADHURTS:

Don't you see the double standard ? When I bring up KO's I get the sermon about going "off topic". When someone else brings up KO's the mods join in on the debate. :BANG_HEAD:

Don't worry, I wont be putting Sky Reign in the toilet. I like the Sky Lynx figure as a stand alone piece. I have no plans on ever using him as a torso. Hopefully 3rd parties come up with an upgrade to make him split in two halves. And Id be totally down for a KO Upsized Sky Lynx in Leader scale. :D

Ah, now I see. Anyway, I'm not sure its possible to split the figure into two halves and have complete forms, even with disassembly. And yeah, a Leader-scale Sky Lynx would be cool. Or better yet, a Masterpiece Sky Lynx.

I like what they did for trailbreaker, I just don't think his head looks that cool, if I see him in stores, I might change my mind, but the renders just don't do it.

Most of them looked to cheap to me, I'll just be getting Hound 8-)

Eh. I think they're fine (except for Wheeljack, he is pretty cheap looking).

I like what they did for trailbreaker, I just don't think his head looks that cool, if I see him in stores, I might change my mind, but the renders just don't do it.

I do like that they gave him a new arm and combined mode hand. Regardless, I long for the day when the splendiferous Sky Reign will grace my combiner shelf.

Forum rules only apply to me and Rated X. Apparently everyone else can say whatever they want.

They should have made Red Alert from that mold instead of Smokescreen. And why isn't Trailbreaker shown complete with his remodeled weapon thing behind his head? We've seen everything else pictured here before.

Weapon: Electro-burst Rifle
I can't wait for Skylynx. I don't know if I will be getting the Sky Reign limbs though. It will be the fourth iteration of the Dead End/Streetwise/Prowl mold and the Offroad/First Aid/Ironhide mold. At least Trailcutter has a different Hand/Foot/Gun that is very unique, as well as a new head and arm. Smokescreen is a straight-up repaint of Prowl, and it isn't even the greatest of molds to begin with. I like the look of Hound and Wheeljack though. So I would need a different character to replace Smokescreen. I suppose I could get Quickslinger and move Alpha Bravo over to Sky Reign. This would have the added benefit of putting Superion back to his G1 configuration (I have Alpha Bravo as a leg and Air Raid as an arm). Doing so would give Sky Reign a weird color balance though as Wheeljack would still be an arm and Alpha Bravo would be a leg.

Ultimately, I think I will probably just leave Superion the way he is and figure out something else for a limb. I would be very happy if they did a repaint of Brawl as Warpath, but that isn't going to happen. I can probably suffer through Smokescreen being the fourth version of that mold.

I think once I get Onslaught I am going to pick his G1 rifle up on eBay to give to Bruticus and attach to his turret in vehicle mode. I don't really like giving him Shockwave, as I really think Shockwave should have been designed to work with Leader Megatron. I REALLY should not have passed up on Viper when I found him months ago. He would be the perfect weapon for Bruticus. Military vehicle alternate mode, check. Turns into a weapon, check. And now I can't find the little bugger. Bruticus doesn't need a Legends figure anyway, he is just that awesome.
