A few weeks ago, I got Onslaught.

I can push it in but it slides back out to where you see in the pictures. i can't find any excess mold flash or other deformities on the peg or inside the slot so I really don't know what's going on here.
http://i.imgur.com/xxSNQYT.jpgSecondly, his head only sits at a downward angle. Again, it can be moved up (with some force), but it defaults back to "looking down on you". I haven't taken it off the socket yet so I don't know if there's a deformed ball joint causing this or what, but it's annoying. I'm thinking about trying to find another and returning this one or something.

I finally found another one at a Target and, lo and behold, it had its own set of defects. There was some excess plastic in the left combiner leg socket that was blocking any figure from completely slotting in. When I tried to force it, it forced the panels of the leg apart. And he also had a loose shoulder. Lucky me!
However, not wanting to go through the hassle of buying a THIRD Onslaught and risking more problems, I decided to get innovative. I was able to disassemble the figures a little and mix parts to get one complete, functional Onslaught and one defective one, which I have repackaged and plan to return to the store with an explanation of the problems. Also, seeing how rare the deluxe combaticons are in my area (wave 6 is reaching saturation), their prices on Hasbro Toy Shop ($17 each), and remembering the aftermarket prices I paid to complete Menasor in January (roughly $25 each for two limbs) I bit the bullet and bought Blast Off and Vortex at regular price. So now I have a complete Bruticus.

(it changes from night to day because that was when I discovered my second Onslaught's deformities and had to perform surgery, so I didn't get combined pics until the next afternoon)

In a rare occurrence, especially in recent toylines, my Autobots are outnumbered.

(Feral Rex might be cheating)
Now the only characters I need are Streetwise, Blades, and a replacement First Aid, because his elbow actually broke just today. Fortunately, they're all on Hasbro Toy Shop, AND there's a 20% off + free shipping code that's good through the end of the month: SPRINGFF, which knocks about $3 off each of them. I will grab them soon and finally complete Defensor and my main Combiner Wars collection until Victorion comes out. And then my wallet can rest!
Also those labels for Wheeljack and co are AMAZING!
