Quickslinger and Wildrider got comics, why wouldn't Groove?

International packaging, what's why (it even said so in the news post). Those never got comics, only a collector's card.

And all I can say is... ugh. Of course he's announced after the Protectobots and Autobot Cars have disappeared from the pegs. If lucky I can only get Hot Spot and Minigroove.

Ha! I'm in Omaha where we are down to 1 TRU. The other TRU I frequent is across the river in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Iowa TRUs hate Transformers!

Isn't much better here in Huntington, WV . I have a Walmart, a Target, and a TRU close to me (and a few more of each a distance away), and the last time I saw something new was the Combaticons at TRU, who then disappeared and never returned, leaving only Wave 4 Deluxes, Armada Megatrons, and Skywarps.

Because you arent looking at a US edition, but an international edition of the packaging. International versions must be of several languages and cant have a comic that is only in english. Compare this and the packaging of quickslinger and breakneck and you will see that they only had english on their boxes.

So there's good chance to get Takara Blast Off from , too?!

Its still tricky because thats the only one where Hasbro has no interest in bringing the mold over to complete a G2 set. They really beleive their Blast Off to be as good a Blast Off as your gonna get:

It is worth pointing out that G2 Bruticus was shown before the Unite Warriors Bruticus with the shuttle. Though it is UNLIKELY that Hasbro was unaware of a shuttle in the works, it is possible that they didn't know. That being said, since the G2 Bruticus is already coming out with the jet version, I find it unlikely we will get the Shuttle version, in the states. Though... They could cash-hog it a little more and release internet-retail exclusive G1 and G2 versions of Shuttle Blast Off....

We also have to wonder what will happen with the upcoming Strafe, as well.

I think every combiner issue was completed(out of order) with the final wave. Only comic that could've worked was combiner hunters but that had its own special release

It's worth noting that Quickslinger and Brake-Neck came with the same comics as Fireflight and Dead End, respectively. (Also the Combaticons came with the comics meant to be included with the wave 1 toys, due to the early shipping last year) They gave them the comics of the corresponding mold rather than the corresponding figure in the combiner. Factoring in the international packaging for this Groove, he's not likely to get a comic.


Regarding the various comments about TRU's small shelf space: let's face facts. Sales are slower in non-movie years. It's not the powerhouse it used to be. If relative shelf space is any indicator, the big thing right now is Ninja Turtles. Most likely when TF5 hits next year, the shelf allotments will be adjusted again.


As for Groove: I'm starting to get a little paranoid about backing out of that Robot Kingdom order. If it doesn't show up on BBTS or SOMEWHERE soon I'm going to be super pissed at myself.

Well, it does make sense that an East Asian market exclusive would be carried primarily by Pacific-based e-tailers.

Picked up mine. The store I went to did not have a full set of protectobots so I bought a CW Megatron + some filler instead.

Just got my G2 Menasor set today and I'm really happy with it. Hopefully with Groove getting a CW release, G2 Defensor will also be done, in fact I couldn't wait and did a Digibash of the team

kinda glad i just went ahead on UW Defensor, since it seems CW Groove is getting the exact same deco. And I'm only sayiing that because I can't afford to buy something on site right now, and if this is a right place right time only deal, there wont be a right time for me before they are gone for good.
