But it really kinda impedes the scramble aspect of the line if you don't like to mix and match factions. I'd be perfectly happy with new teams >:oP

Hmmm...

Actually, since Combiner Wars is going through 2016 (and Titan Wars won't show up till 2017 at the earliest), maybe we'll see Predaking as a Titan Box set, like Devs was for this year? That way we could get Abominus as a standard wave release AND Predaking as a non-standard release. That would also complete the original cartoon series combiners (sorry fans of Monstructor/Piranacon)!

And to be fair, Predaking is the only Combiner who was ever worthy of being "Titan" sized.

I mean, LOOK at this:

Who knows, maybe they thought they were being clever and meant no combiners like Magnaboss or Tripredicus.

I have just seen Scattershot and I am disappointed why is he a Repaint of Silverbolt My hopes for a CW Computron Ruined his torso mode looks too much like Superion :-x

Victorion on the other hand looks great same with the G2 coloured Menasaus and Superion

Just because Hasbro have said no beast combiners, doesn't mean they were referring to the likes of Predaking, Monstrucator and Abominus.

They could have meant no Beast combiners, as in Beast Wars ... I'm just gonna stick my head in the sand over that.

Then again, I look at Scattorshot and all I can see is Hasbro are now officially over combiners. I'm guessing he was the last one designed after a week of 12+ hours designing and they were just over it.

Considering they heavily retooled Cyclonus from Silverbolt, Scattorshot just looks lazy.

Scattorshot's tooling itself is fantastic in my opinion. The new Head and Vehicle Mode shell look great. But the Combiner head AT LEAST needs a mouth instead of the faceplate, and the deco needs a good amount of work.

He looks so bland and bizarre in Combiner mode, that I'm thinking (and hoping) they haven't actually finished the design for Combined mode yet, and he'll get a new head and more than 2 paint apps (Seriously, he has only 2 on him, on his crotch).

Even lazier when you consider that they didn't even remold Computron/Betatron's combiner head to look at least slightly different from Superion's. I hope that's just a placeholder head until the finish the sculpt on the final production version.

I thought it was some sort of preliminary prototype thing? It's so unpainted and they just left superions head on, it looks like a hand-painted kit-bashed version of computhingy that they modified piece by piece; definitely hope it's not anywhere near final.

And I have a hard time classifying him. He's not as much of a reshell as Cyclonus was... You know what, I'll just call him a retool of Shell #1 (Silverbolt) of the Voyager Jet mold and call it a night. Kinda like this:

I've got a suggestion to explain why we've not seen a proper reveal of Computron yet, folks. Combiner Wars is still very much tied up with the ongoing IDW fiction, in which 3/5ths of the Technobots are currently dead. Only Scattorshot and Strafe remain at this point. Maybe Hasbro is holding back on a Technobots reveal so as not to spoil and upcoming plot point in the IDW comics involving the revival of Nosecone, Lightspeed, and Afterburner?

I wouldn't like to bet on it, though I bet there revival will be more of a thing like "actually they were revived ages ago and are now on the lost light, you just didn't see them"

Though speaking of IDW, a Decepticon justice division combiner would be awesome.

By that reasoning then at some point in time Cyclonus should become a combiner torso.

I don't think the toy line is adhering strictly to the fiction.
