If the battle damage is the only issue, just wipe it off with some rubbing alcohol. I like the damage overall, but I might wipe it off of some figures after I add Selects characters like Smokescreen.
You can't wipe off the battle damage when it's paint on paint, though. Battle damage paint on bare plastic is no problem to remove, but when it's on top of already paint on detail, you're going to lose both paints in the process.
So just out of curiosity, how do we tell the difference between Sunstorm and Nova Storm? Are they a different shade of yellow? Because when I see a yellow seeker I immediately think Sunstorm.Skritz wrote:ausbot wrote:Sunstorm or Acid storm please or even the periwinkle generic would be awesome.
If you are referring to the 'Rainmaker' trio, then the yellow one is not Sunstorm but rather called Nova Storm. Their trio consist of Acid Storm, Nova Storm and Ion Storm. People assume Sunstorm is considered a Rainmaker (he isn't, its Nova Storm who is the yellow one)....except when his Botcon set is called that due to miscommunications. Oops.
Sunstorm is more cheddar cheese yellow with white. Nova Storm is more solid lemon yellow.Rodimus Prime wrote:So just out of curiosity, how do we tell the difference between Sunstorm and Nova Storm? As you discovered with Sideswipe.
Thank you. I don't think I've ever gotten a really good look at Nova Storm before, or if I did I might have thought he was just a miscolored Sunstorm.Sabrblade wrote:Sunstorm is more cheddar cheese yellow with white. As for those two purple seekers, they did that again in Cyberverse and I sure couldnt tell them apart just based on colour.

If your Cyberverse reference is what I think it is, then what they did might actually be worse: they took Nova Storm, who is usually yellow and technically the only yellow named Seeker since Sunstorm is orange, and made them purple and a female character despite the show ALSO using Slipstream, causing possible confusion where there didn't need to be.
Slipstream is purple and teal, though, and has a black helmet. Cyberverse Nova Storm is all purple (well, two shades of purple, but even her helmet is purple).william-james88 wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:william-james88 wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:So just out of curiosity, how do we tell the difference between Sunstorm and Nova Storm? Yes excactly, and they kept that all throughout the show, making it very confusing in the final climactic battles.

Plus, Slipstream being a commander means that she got most of the important dialogue of all the Seekers present.william-james88 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Slipstream is purple and teal, though, and has a black helmet. These major differences are really helpful in quick fight scenes.

I think a LOT of fans are planning on doing the same, honestly. It shouldn't be hard to do either. Starscream's head comes off without much effort.

Indeed...now I'm looking to get a Starscream for cheap/used for the momentous changing of the heads!![]()
Skritz wrote:Speaking of Slipstream, anyone wondering if they'll do a Siege/Select version with a new head and maybe robot mode chest? I'd be up for it especially since those pieces are easily retooled on the Siege seeker mold.

She'd need more than just a new chest and head, the limbs are quite chunky for a female body type.

Anyway, I honestly don't see why Hasbro doesn't try to get as much out of the mold as possible by producing every single seeker with the same body type. Even if the lesser known/desired ones get smaller production volumes, there is a segment of the fandom that would buy all of them, or at least some combination of some of them.

Then sure, all those places too. The two first mentionned though will have the best prices.

Exactly, as bbts and the like will probably get them from one of the first two then sell at a mark up. It's no different from how places sell Tomy Takara Mall exclusive items
