I feel like the fact they went with an original character for the "scrapyard muscle car" retool instead of Lockdown just kinda proves to me that Lockdown will likely be an original (or different I should say) mold instead. Especially if they want to keep the Animated aesthetic "intact" which I think they nailed it pretty well with Prowl.

I still think it's odd that Swoop has a pre order listing on Amazon,.and Scat still dosen't have one.

We're getting both arms in.wave 3. Snarl ( the other leg) will likely be in wave 4 to complete combiner.

This Markclonus post for Devcon showcases the figure a lot better. Face looks less derpy with better angles, gun is on his arm as it should be instead of in his hand, and the jetpack option is pretty neat. I also like that the hands can convert to thrusters in bot mode, that makes for some fun options

CW Leader Megatron (not the Armada retool) at least got a beautiful tank mode. Fully painted silver. Can you imagine Hasbro'll ever do that for a Leader now?

Moving on.

I'll get Nemesis, but on clearance. I paid Commander price for the Ark. I'm willing to pay more than that for the Nemesis, but not much more. $300CAD is insane for me except HasLabs.

Dion & Erial 2-pack, I'll probably get it if the reviews are good only.

I'm good with the old Beachcomber. Decepticon Junkion is a stretch as a concept to me. Looks really cool though. These are are might get on sale.

Not interested in the Core Dinos. That said, these 2 are great individually to fiddle with. The best of the Core Volcanicus for sure.

Nemesis Leo Prime is skip.

Dirge's also a skip. Looking at him only reminds me of how pissed I was with missing out on all 3 of the original Coneheads and Earthrise Seekers trio that I got the 3P Legends version. I got Sandstorm (& Coronation Starscream) though, and that's enough of an experience for the Voyager mold.

So the must-gets are Devcon to replace my TR Scourge repaint and Armada OP & Meg.

I just wish Armada Meg's proportion is more menacing. And also maybe move him into Commander Class and including all the Minicons with the extra budget (if Hasbro got no plan to make Minicons 2-packs in Core Class, that is).

I think Legacy Evolution has been that underwhelming so far I thought Armada Prime may be the only one I buy from this series, Nemesis and Dirge are now added to that short list. A female Titan? Yeah why not? She looks a lot better than Ark.

mmm, actually like look of the titan but think they miss out when they dont have a base mode on toys that big. Also I'll have to wait and see what hasbro shortchanged the figure on to increase not third party add ons sales. Passed on the Ark with its missing booster and the side panels though I still want mainframe from it.

Dirge when on sale, Voyager price is too much for me.

Devcon more than likely.

Armada megs looks like its missing some oomph and doesnt really compare to the original, so yet another pass for me on all the armada redoes so far.

I might pick up the junkion but just like the rest of them it needs the faction symbol covering up. Might work with my shattered glass classics.

Beachcombers feet are pretty bad in vehicle mode so I'm happy with sticking to my potp toy.

Yes, in the stock photos it appears to have some dark copper sections. Mane, crotch, fists, knee pads.

The in studio example shown in the stream does not appear to have that. It may be the lighting or the filter used for the stock photos or it may just be a pre-production sample used for those photos and the final release will have those sections done in black as shown in the stream.

The Nemesis ship looks good, but I do wish they had put in a nod to the WFC/FOC games and given it a reptilian alt-mode. It wouldn't have to even look like Trypticon since he was reformatted, but it still would've tied in nicely.

Would commander class be too big to be compatible? I wonder if it would need to be leader size?

I guess you need one tidal wave as a titan. And then a smaller version to be compatible.

Yeah I also figured if there will be a compatible TW he will be leader sized. Sone if us assume commander because we want a big TW.

That would be a perfect solution, but a titan sized TW was only in the PS2 game, so if anything he would be a Studio Series Gamer titan, while the leader figure would be in Legacy to go with Megatron.

The original Armada Tidal Wave toy was the size of Siege Commander class Jetfire.

And when they combined it looked terrible. If TW had been smaller, at least the components that combined with Megatron's arms, it would've looked better.

With Nemesis, will there be a smaller component like Mainframe with the Ark?

Good point. Interesting. But commanders now seem to be pretty hefty. That is a lot of weight to put on Megatron. If I recall correctly Tidal Wave was thinner and lighter. I need to compare them side by side. Do you know Sabrblade? Obviously, you could make TW heftier but then I wonder if he would be too much.

Yes it was. It's in my top 5 all time to this day. TW was made to look huge when he 1st appeared in the show, but he gradually shrunk down.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I personally don’t think bases are very good alt modes, even for Titan class— besides not having the scale to work well with very many figures, most times they really don’t look that good.
At least ship modes like the Ark and Nemesis look good and are interesting.
I’d also argue they display much better as alt modes.

Did anyone know about this?

They gave him an alternate "hidden" transformation to make him look more like his TF Prime character model? That's actually really quite brilliant, and awesome!

Any indication if there's going to be a bridge on the Nemesis? I don't necessarily care if the bridge can come out like Mainframe, but I'd prefer it to be there.

So, those reveals yesterday:

Beachcomber: don't really see a reason to replace my PotP Beach, so I am good there.

Devcon: looks very boring, and i don't feel anything for the character, pass.

Axlegrease: She looks nice, and I like the muscle car mode. I will get her and put her with the other junkions. I agree a Lockdown retool from her would be a very bad idea.

Dirge: I have him, so I will pass.

Dark Lio: another pass, I am not that big on this mold, so I think I will be good on one until they making Flash Lio or Green Lio. I like the gun though.

Armada Megatron: That right there is gorgeous! I will get him for sure.

Armada Optimus: that is a day one preorder. I don't preorder much anymore, but I want him ASAP.

Titan Nemesis: she looks decent so far. I like that she's so pointy, but I agree I wish she was a little more WFC Trypticonian.

Now, for some other figures.

Sludge is not a very good figure, but he is a cute little longneck.

Skyquake is so good i took him to work again today. I love him.

I got Metalhawk, and he is much better than Cyclonus. I enjoy him so much more, he looks and feels nice.
