(I realize this post is somewhat ironic given the nature of discussion in the last few posts.)

Heh, I went ahead and preordered the Vehicon, anyway. If it does get shipped to them, then I'll have completed F.E. at a reasonable price.

A number of the other FE's appear to be solid winners, but Bulkhead is just head-and-shoulders above.

WolfDawg wrote:Yea, I had a feeling this was going to happen. Last week, when there was all that news about the UK getting the RID figures early, I knew that Hasbro was going to cancel the rest of the FE figures. The first thing I did upon hearing that news was go to Ebay and find the cheapest listings for Voyager Prime and Bulkhead as well as Deluxe Cliffjumper. I managed to find them for a reasonable price and got them in the mail Wednesday.
Now, if you go on eBay, CJ is approaching 40 bucks, Prime is like 70, and I've seen a few Bulkhead listings for 100 dollars.
I'm surprised no one else came to the conclusion that the FE figures just weren't going to be released when the UK started getting RID figures. Then, when the RID figures started showing up in the U.S., that should have pretty much confirmed that the FE figures were canceled.
It sucks, though. Bulkhead is hands down the best Transformer released in the last few years and Prime and Cliffjumper are also great figures. People keep saying that there's a chance the FE figures will turn up at Ross, TJ Maxx or Marshalls, but I just can't see that happening.

Collector's aren't the main market as a whole. While as individuals one would be spending more money on Takara FE's, if Hasbro FE's were fully released in the US they'd be making more money on the general populace.

They're different entities. Has and Tak tend to blend their minds together on products but when it comes down to it, they're each in it for themselves.
metaphorge wrote:Wow, I think this is the most widely pissed off I have ever seen the Transformers community. You'd think we had to buy them through mattycollector.com or something else horrible like that....

eh? I believe that as much as I believe in the boogy monster. If you actually got that answer from a rep and didn't just pull it out your butt to be an a-hole it was more likely because they're annoyed with the question already.
Stop Transformers? Yeah, no. It's one of their most popular franchises. Not gonna happen until interest dies... or Hasbro caves in on themselves.
