Cool little haul Billy. I love the Legions thunderhoof. What do you think? And despite his lack luster alt mode, doesn't that Prime make a great little action figure in robo mode? Also I think Bludgeon is my fave minicon so far. Love those horns.

I love those horns too, hence why i cant wait for Lord Doomitron. He will even be more purposeful, since he turns into usable wolverine claws! That will be my favourite. It's pretty much Bludgeon but with use


Legion Thunderhoof is very good. His head is excellent and I like the paint where it is, plus the tractor mode is very well done even though there isnt much there in terms of transformation. I like him better then the crab, since I would have really liked his pincers to move.

As for Prime, nothing could have prepared me for how bad that alt mode is. I mean, its... bad, real bad. Like no one cared. I am wondering if this is the worse looking Prime truck mode I have ever held and I think it is. BUT, that robot mode is pretty spectacular. Everything works. He has great proportions, I like the plastic, the colour, I like how his eyes are painted with hi pupils sculpted. And his articulation is perfect for that size class. Better than even the Generations Legends class toys. The hammer is cool and very well detailed (love those honeycomb Deus Ex Human Revolution textures) and I just love how everything fits perfectly both onto the robot and when it comes together as a hamer. Its such a precise science, I am impressed. Decent price too. I got it for 15$ cdn (11.68$ USD) and you get a lot of stuff. The minicon is good, the robot mode of Prime is fine and the dual purpose accesories are excellent. So yeah, great value but terrible alt mode. Looking forward to Grimlock. Oh and I think he scales well with clampdown, not sure about thunderhoof.

I just scored a Classics Megatron off EBay for $25 and free shipping, and not too long ago I got Energon Shockblast for the same price. That's two of my "Holy Grail" figures down without having to sell a kidney!

I was thinking of sending you a PM to express myself more freely about how much I love these guys, but I will instead keep it civil and clean here on the boards. Those are both excellent figures and I just love their heft. They look so great on a shelf and to transform (Megs more to transform and Shocks more on a shelf). I am so glad you have them now and at an excellent price!

Really Will? I have the other Clash figures, I assumed Megs was here but I passed over him not noticing that he was different from the standard release.

He wasnt part of that same wave and was released later than the others in the states. We have yet to have any canadian sightings. He might not come (which wouldnt be a first for store specific exclusive, look at Walmart's AOE toys or the Platinum Blaster and Perceptor set).

Just got myself some pretty sweet hauls today.

First, thanks to a deluxe sale at TrU (10$CAN), I did the unthinkable. TROOP BUILDING! I never bought so many of the exact same figure at once. The unloved combaticon, Blastoff. 4 times!

It was the only combaticon left. Exactly 4. In a sea of Optimus Maximus limbs. They had a crapload of CW Cyclonusses too, but at full price. Sooner or later, there will be a sale. I'll buy Cyclonus to create a sweet-ass Galvatronus!

Animated Starscream and Wreck-Gar, Prime Arms Micron Airachnid and Zombie Cliffjumper, Alternity Bumblebee, and GDO Megatron (Reprob'd).

Only thing missing are the most of the original Energon translucent "hands" and "feet". I'm aware that this kit is kinda irrelevant now that the CW version is out (and it was the reason the guy traded it for his other wants) but I'm very pleased. It's still have a solid value and it's a nice change of pace from the CW molds. I skipped CW bruticus because I already have Menasor, Superion, and Defensor. Plus Optimus Maximus. Plus an upcoming Galvatronus. I'll combine Bruticus soon and he'll join his combiner friends!

Now, I only miss CW Hound and a Cyclonus at 15$CAN to be done with CW.

Oh no. Just a bitchin' Galvatronus. Only thing missing is to find a Cyclonus for cheap, like 15$.

I had the same idea, but using Vortex. So I have Cyclonus and no limbs, you have limbs and no Cyclonus!!

Galvatronus will be had for both of us!!

Forget Botcon hauls, I probably won't ever get to attend a single Botcon. Instead, over the past couple of weeks, I've been getting some nice Combiner Wars figures and some others. Got Devastator, Swindle, Smokescreen, and Brawl. Outside of Combiner Wars I got the Evolution 2-Pack Optimus Primes, which is Classics Prime and Evasion mode Optimus Prime.




Not included in the picture, Combiner Wars Rodimus and Chop Shop and Legion RiD Steeljaw and Underbite.

(Any tips on lighting?)

So today I needed a bit of a pick-me-up, so I decided to buy a ridiculously over priced Legendy Shockwave and a local collector store. They had the other Deluxe CombyCons, and I'm willing to pay a bit of a markup, but they aren't even in the ball park. Goddam crooks.



So, I already knew I would like the Wee Shocky, but holy. He's even better than I hoped and dreamed! Such a fun little dude! Even at double the price, I don't feel an ounce of buyers remorse!

His only fault are G1-like articulation. But that Cheetor is made to stand and look REGAL. Transformation is simple but amazingly creative. All the robot bits hide themselves away neatly for the kick-ass beast mode. It does not have the usual Titanium flaws, meaning that the diecast are in the right places, and nothing pop off. Ever. The swords are rubberry and attach to the tighs, not hampering the streamlined look of either mode. Finally, DAT PAINTED DETAILS. All over.









I'm truly baffled and amazed by the greatness of this figure. Defenitely recommended.
