Not much of a haul, setting money aside for a little project. But I did get some figures:
Siege WFC-S10 Skytread
Studio Series #41 Constructicon Scrapmetal
Slowly catching up with the lines, but I'm still missing that blasted Roadtrap to complete the final Duocon
*ahem* Two pieces down, a loooong wait to go for Mr. Wrecking Balls.
2 Pretty dang good cons.
Wait until you get Rampage, he is fantastic!!

Already have him, hence "Two pieces down"Now to wait for Hightower and Long Haul
Scrapmetal is just lovely, I'll have to dig out Universe 2003 Scavenger for comparing. Skytread is also good, but my copy has a very slight molding defect in that the molding on the back left side of the tank is partially smoothed out. Also, the foldout panel on that very side is stiff and I popped it off on first transformation. Had trouble popping it on (so did the ones assembling him if the stress marks are any indication), but I can look past that.
AllNewSuperRobot wrote:In an ultra rare move, I made an impulse buy. Rhinox being my favourite Maximal (of which I never owned a toy) I decided to buy him (Transmetal Rhinox, to be precise). Ended up as a new variant collection, as I bought him and his two redecos (Fox Kids and Armada) for $30, which in total, adding shipping, customs and subtracting exchange rates, came to £33![]()
None are mint on card, which doesn't interest me. Minimal Chrome scraping and, most importantly, all three come with the Horn blade (which was missing from a LOT of eBay Rhinox entries).
Rogue-Primal wrote:Nice hoard, the grey/brown version is my favorite of the bunch. You get them for a decent price too
william-james88 wrote:Good score, and very cool. I only own one and he doesnt have his horn.

Thanks. It did always bug me that Rhinox and Waspinator never gained their Transmetal forms in the show, as the designs were so interesting.william-james88 wrote:Good score, and very cool. I only own one and he doesnt have his horn.
Yeah, I can only assume that the horn doesn't attach very securely as there were a lot of Hornless Rhinox on eBay. One seller even had a set (herd?) of four, all missing the horn
Bucky wrote:Nice Rhinoxes. I’ve always been a big fan of how beefy and brutal his TM toy looks. It’s a big improvement on his original toy. I’ve never been too sure what his vehicle 3rd mode is. I just assumed it was, like, a snowmobile.
Bucky wrote:It really is a shame that so many awesome looking TM and TM2 figures never appeared in the show.

Yeah, like whatever TM Dinobot was supposed to be? A... snake

A long-nosed dragster.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

Bucky wrote:Nice! I, too, have taken that BW Neo plunge. I most recently got Long Rack and Guiledart, and I love them both. I don’t regret diving into these at all.
I personally prefer to addition of red to Long Horn, over Hasbro’s Bonecrusher. He looks more distinct.

AllNewSuperRobot wrote:It really confuses me that TM Terrorsaur was never redeco'd with a G1 Laserbeak colour palette? I mean, considering there is a Laserbeak redeco for the original Terrorsaur figure, you would have thought it a no-brainer? Especially given the "jet" mode couldn't look like more of a homage/re-imagining??
AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Nathaniel Prime wrote:
Found him yesterday, couldn't resist and got him. 50$ is a steal, and I got one with excellent hips and a tail. Those stickers tho...
Excellent stuff. Patience and tweezers, is how I overcame the stickers. Still haven't got Metroplex out of the box I bought months ago, because I don't have that time right now. I do take issue with the fact modern figures are bundled with stickers at all as a bit of a con, but it is what it is.
