got the decals in from reprolabels and was able to clear coat him i think it really makes the black look awesome. dirge, ramjet are almost done but thrust is taking a little more time. but i hope to have them all done soon. And yes they are cone heads, well as best they can be with this mold.

i put the direct link at the bottom for some of you that could not see the pics, comcast doesnt want some of you to see the pics. as for the paint i use mostly acyrlics testors model master

paint-tastic! i was wondering what ever happened to a little Skywarp repaint that popped in here a few weeks ago...

excellent update. the Reprolabel insignias really match the colors of this custom, and the clear coat doesn't look too bad either, in fact it makes the paint stand out. very, very nice and i still think you made one of the best symmetrical paint jobs in these forums (so far), the wing lines still look like they were factory-made (in a good, production-type way).

The figure is cool. The paint job is very smooth. But I absolutely LOVE your sig. All the seekers together look so sweet.

I have a question for everybody here. I just bought the Movie Thundercracker and I've been debating on repainting him for a Skywarp, as Skywarp is one of my favorites. I'm wondering what purple should I use, and next question, I was watching the movie and kept bitching how they didn't actually give the jet toys any hands, as opposed to Starscream changing his hand into the cannon. I'd like to actually make even one of the arms a hand, but not sure what I should do precisely. If no one minds I'd like some suggestions, the cannons are cool, but I wouldn't mind at least have one of them with hands.

i used tamiya purple acrylic. you just have to be careful with it cause it dries fast. if you do not put enough on your brush it can get tacky from the paint bottle to the project. will this be your first repaint?

Yes it will be, I'm also planning on getting classics Starscream and repainting it as Thundercracker. I know, it's a bold move considering this will be my very first, I can't help but aspire for these. I've alwasy been a fan of the Seekers.

do you have experiance painting models or anything. practice on a cheaper transformer, i used a jazz and a wreckage to get things right first. jazz didnt come out so well but i really like my wreckage. learned a lot about painting transformers on them two. Its different than painting model airplanes, so many crevis's and nooks it takes forever to find all the places you miss.

ah,k, good point. I'm just not sure, would I actually have to take a screwdriver and take the pieces apart to do it completely?

take apart a little as you can. when i do my seekers the arms and legs came off the rest i just work around. here's a great guide to painting transformes done by Jin Saotome.

alright, thanks, I'll do what I can, I'm just a little nervous about messing with the parts, I'm afraid of taking it apart and not being able to put it back together, or ruining the toy altogether
