Titans had a rape episode??? WTF??Lord~Megatron wrote:Just a quote from tfw2005's dead end i really agree with him 100%Style does not denote age. And from the intricacies shown here, the back log of info put into this shows an adherance to all walks of age. A good writer does not need to resort to gritty shock value to be 'adult.'
Titans had a rape episode among other adult nods, Animaniacs was full of adult humor, and even Foster's or JLU had pure adult implied moments.
Which of those is a direct 'adult' toon not aimed at kids?
Yet are still highly entertaining to adults, while having adult stories within the context of what looks like a simplistic 'child's story'.

If you were a real fan it wouldn't bother you.
Define "real fan". Since none of us seem to know, perhaps you can enlighten us as to what it takes to be a "real fan".RatchetMD wrote:Decepticon Spike wrote:Thre's been a lot of this "real fans" crap lately

*sits back half expecting to get an answer saying that since I have to ask what a real fan is that means I'm not*

I was almost about to quote for truth, but then reconsidered.Shadowman wrote:A "Real Fan" wouldn't care how the series changes, and would love Transformers and each series unconditionally.

No, each new series has been a new take on an old story, & have incorporated new ideas into the mix, there are some things here & there that they don't mess with. I mean for one thing, Optimus & Megs are still the leaders of their respective factions, they still hail from Cybertron, where they've been having a non-stop civil war for eons. They all still run on energon. & most of the TFs over the years have had vehicle designs similar to their original versions....like Prime being a truck, fire or otherwise... with only a few differences, usually based on style changes such as the problem we've had with Megs being a gun & Soundwave being a walkman where mass shifting wasn't applied. But even then the general spirit of the character stays the same...colorscheme, robot design....Shadowman wrote:Nemesis Cyberplex wrote:I consider myself a "real fan" yet I care about how the series changes. Which is weird, because that's what they do every time they start a new series.
