I have allways hated the term Trekkie, Trekker sounds better

I don't care how old the franchise is they needed better writers with imagination and they should of used more effects

there holo imaging system was ajoke and they explained things away instead of showing things

Yeah they did do a bit more talking then showing but that was for 2 reasons.......one it was cheeper to explain a thing off then to special effect the shot.....Even in the big war shots from DS9 they kept re-useing the same footage.

The 2nd reason was that Rodenberry would have prefered it that they explain thing rather then show it.....it was his way of thinking that ST was the story of the "Human Experance" not the equipment. To him the show wasnt about a ship in space with aliens and phaser fights.....it was about what humanity could acomplish if we tryed hard enough.

That only show's a marked drop in the levels of imagination in todays generation.

That's why there hasn't been any decent ST games recently. Unless I just miss them if they come out on PC.

There are good ones, but they are trying to be Star Wars imitaters if you ask me. Exactly for this reason. ST was always about the investigating, the puzzle solving. Nowadays it's all action, shoot, etc.

Ah, A Final Unity was a damn good ST game. The right blend of elements that make ST great. Mostly puzzle solving, with a bit of action sprinkled in here and there. And some humour. Once, and only once, while playing that game, Riker and Worf started going on about Poker on the bridge, and how Worf refuses to play anymore because he's sure Riker cheats.

I think the release date of the first season of the remastered set is 11/20/07.

TOS? Hmm....I thought I remembered seeing each season at Walmart for $55 each. Maybe that was just DS9, but I think I recall TOS as well. In that case, I can swing it.

I'm happy with either version. I didn't fall in love with TOS because of its special effects, that's for sure. Sometimes I have to stifle a snicker, but I always overlooked its silliness.

Just watched Whispers I taped last night, with the next ep every week night.

It's like one big DS9 extravaganza! Everyone's watching it.

DS9 party! I'm watching the one right after Hard Time. I was tired last night and didn't feel like changing the DVD. If only I had my season one...I think my sister borrowed it. Blast!
