It's never too soon to start thinking sequal, especially considering "Revenge's" box office standing. A third installment is as inevitible as a Prime/Megatron slugfest. While Bay has been hinted at taking a break from the TF, and Orci and Kurtzman have already begun leaking some ideas for the future, some of the more ambitious out there might want to see a third installment under a slightly different microscope.

I'll be putting together a treatment over the next few weeks in the sheer joy of putting together a screenplay about the TF's. That said, while I already have some idea of how and what, I'd like to get some input from the rest of you at Seibertron as to "Who" should be in this.

Having said that, any ideas for how to shop the treatment to Hollywood or to Hasbro?

Most importantly, who do you want to see under the real light of day?

I'd like to see more of Jolt and Sideswipe for sure

They were criminally underused in ROTF, and the arcee's too.

More of Soundwave is a given i think.

On the Autobot side maybe a big bot, like Inferno or Ultra Magnus

Megatron not being such a pussy.

Better character development or time for characters instead of the whole "Decepticon no. 3" or "background Autobot no.15" sort of crap.

There was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much going on. It's like Transformers on Meth, slowing things down, focussing on one or two things doesn't mean the movie is going to suck.

With that said, I'd like to see Unicron. That'd be cool. Maybe the Quints.

Get rid of that soft poorn crap with Megan Fox.

Bring back the conversations between the cons in their language.

I wouldn't mind seeing Prowl, throw in Sunstreaker so we can have the real twins. Soundwave was pretty spiffy, Ravage was neat. Seeing Magnus would be alright. If they're going to keep Prime as some kind of no BS kind of bot then have Mags as a mellowing effect.

There is so much material they could have made ROTF another awesome live action TF movie. They need to take a deep breath and think about what makes a good movie a good movie.

I have a feeling that its going to be a different director and all that stuff and the movie will flop and turn out like spider man 3. But if its still micheal bay and speilberg I would like to see

- More of soundwave comming to earth and maybe throw in some lazer beak and maybe bring back ravage too
- Dont add any new autobots just keep the remaing left and have them have more screen time and talking about protecting humans
- i would really like to see more transformers fighting in the city and crushing people the first one had a good balance of decepticons and autobots. too me i think less transformers makes it even better b/c they have more screen time just liek the first movie.
- Please stop making megan fox the hot slutty girl and just let her be normal girl , and i hope shia le bouf and fox still sign up to be on the 3rd movie.
- maybe introduce energon cubes some how lol. and im pretty sure 2-3 years from cgi will be a little better so hopfully they can look even more real.


What i wouldnt want

- No more pointless bots like kitchen bots etc.
- No more jokes every .4 seconds
- no more extra characters to get in the way of shia and megan

Stunticons vs Autobot Cars: Sideswipe/Sunstreaker, Smokescreen, & Mirage

Stunticons could combine, but not get to be HUGE, through some really high speed "crashes" (like the end of that terrible Mission Impossible movie where the two guys leap off of motorcycles and collide mid-air).

More hotness from Megan.

I want Sam's character to keep his wits a bit more, play it more cool now that he's a veteran of the stuff. I mean, he told Leo off in the second film for freaking out. He should be able to act the part now.

Humans...reverse engineering Transformers tech and some kind of villainy from it.

Thundercracker and Skywarp to appear and for them to be the ones pushing Starscream towards betrayal.

Either the Dinobots or Ultra Magnus. I want to see Soundwave down on earth too!

Actually I dont prefer to have too many characters if some of them can't even see it clearly. ROTF suppose to have 42-46 robots? Frankly speaking i have no idea.

Omega Supreme would definetly be a huge help to counter Devastator or some other Big Con.

I hope in the next one we get to see more of the new characters who were breifly mentioned in the 2nd film and had barely made an impression.

I hope Sam grows up and stops being a little bitch and realizes his purpose.

Less of megan fox being a wanna be playboy bunny..it was ok in the first one where she was still a bit of a bitch, but now that her & sam have been together awhile..wth?
As for the transformers themselves, much as I like the dinobots..how would they fit in exactly?
Somthing i'd like to see in deleted scences or somthing would be the first time sams parents see the transformers.

Id like to see Soundwave or course but most of all Id like to see characters will cool powers on film like Hound and his holograms, Mirage and his invisibility.

If I cant get that I will settle for the Autobots getting their heavy hitters finally like Ultra Magnus.

Oh,and Dr Smoov's Wheeljack would be hilarious on film.

I'd like to see:
Megatron returning to his ruthless best
Way more screentime for Sideswipe, Ratchet, Ironhide, the Arcee bots that survived the Giza battle, but especially Soundwave!!!
Continuing the tension between Megatron and Starscream
New additions Prowl, Wheeljack, Shockwave, and Grimlock
Far less crude humour

And as for a storyline, one really out there idea could be that Sam finds another ladyfriend, and after he gets caught by Mikela, she break up with him and then encounters Megatron, who makes her an offer she can't refuse and thus joins with the Decepticons. Yes it's weird and stupid, but there have been worse.

Grimlock (with or without the Dinobots) and Shockwave is a MUST. they're iconic G1 characters, especially in the comics.

Shockwave should keep his space cannon mode, and Grimlock should either be a Mustang like the Alternator, or a monster truck, a life size version of Wheelie from RotF. And no idiot Grimlock. I want badass Grimlock from the later issues of the US Comics.

If those 2 were added in meaningful roles, I would be satisfied.

Soundwave is one of my faves. Add Rumble and Buzzsaw.
Trailbreaker. He's got a sense of humor, and a cool power to protect humans during one of the fights.
Grimlock. With Jetfire, they established Transformers have been on earth for a long, long time. Maybe he landed during prehistoric times and never gave up his old transform. You'd just have to establish where he's been all this time.

And if you could kill off Mudflap and Skids in a horrible way, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

My picks:

Autobots:

Mirage as an F-1 Racer with cloaking abilities that make him ideal for infiltrating areas where Decepticons are belived to be.

Inferno as a Firetruck (Would make an excelent leader-class toy)

Prowl as some kind of police car that acts as a strategist to Optimus and not very social and more seen with Prime and Magnus.

Hound as a Jeep Wrangler who acts as a scout for the Autobots and more social with humans

Cliffjumper a dune bugy that is looking for a fight and would rather act than plan. Woudl more than likely replace Ironhide should they deicde to kill Ironhide next film due to his alt-mode being scrapped by GM.

The Dinobots (Grimlock T-Rex, Slag Triceratops, and Swoop Pterannadon) serve as comic relief and replacement to the twins. Backstory would be that they were a Special Forces team fo Autobots deployed to track down Shockwave and elimanate him. They would act primitive due to damage they received from being buried by an avalanche millions of years ago but still have an awareness and understanding to what's going on). Five would be a bit much.

Aerialbots/Superion

Ultra Magnus flat-bed truck that combines with car carrier to make larger robot, Is Optimus Prime's #2 and will sometimes have disagreements with Optimus on somethings but is loyal.

Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime as a firey red sportscar with a flame paint job (sort of to fit into the Prime story arc and revealing that there is a destined successor to Optimus even without killing Optimus this time. Hot rod would become Rodimus in the climax to help Optimus defeat Galvatron)Hot ROd would be the firey-teenage type robot that is reckless, friendly, but displays potential to be more when the situation is dire. Rodimus would be Hot Rod as he would ultimately become many lifetimes in the future, as wise and noble as Optimus but capable of surpassing the current Autobot leader.

Alpha Trion: More for backstory explaining how Prime's are made and make it to where he was the one who sent the All-Spark to Earth, sacrificing himself to keep it from Megatron and the Fallen. He would be the one who made Optimus and later Hot Rod as his last creation to succeed Optimusand would have been the keeper to the Allspark.

Decepticons
Galvatron (Megatron could transform into him mid-ways through the movie, altering his apeparance with a G1-esque galvatron crown as a nod) He would become another alien tank, only more powerful and meaner-looking

Shockwave as some Alien Artilery cannon who could have served as Megatron's predecessor to the Fallen and now seeks to claim leadership of the Decepticons though pretends to obey Megatron/Galvatron.

Skywarp as a Stealth Figther loyal to Megatron though slow-witted

Thrust as a Harrier of some sort loyal to Megatron though a coward

Rumble a Frenzy-sized Decepticon that truns into a Jack-hammer, with the personality of a school-yard bully who's not afraid to talk back to his larger brethren and turns into a jackhammer that can bring down buildings on unsuspecting humans and Autobots using his piledriver. He can't make Earthquakes though. He'd be more durable and stronger than Frenzy and a heck more mellow. He won't dare question Megatron.

Laserbeak a condor that transforms into a camcorder for spying and is a minion of Soundwave and has a very high rate of success in his missions.

Bruticus a.k.a the Combaticons. Fitting more with the miltiary-theme of the cons and Bruticus was next up on the popularity poll for gestalts his gestalt form could be more fitted for blitzkrieg warfare than demolition.

Cyclonus An alien starfighter

Scourge an alien flight pod

Blitzwing a triplechanger that turns into a MIG and Earth tank) Decepticon loyal to Shockwave that has multiple personalities

Who should die?

Probably make room for newer bots and Ironhide's alt-mode was scrapped my GM so he'd be on the list. I doubt the twins would be killed off but I would definately have them take a back seat next film to focus on the Dinobots and some newer bots.

Starscream. In raditional Galvatron/Starscream fashion, Megatron won't kill Starscream, but Galvatron has always displayed more a willingness to kill Starscream, having no need for him with his new power and better subbordinates (G1 Galvatron killed STarscream to get leaderhsip abck plus he had Unicron empowering him and two more powerful subbordinates in Cyclonus and Scourge)

Less Humans: Just choose a few who can stay and don't bother with the rest. No adding/inventing new human characters - if the writers want fresh blood in this movie, make it more robots.

More "Named" Robots: When we all heard 40+ bots were going to be in this movie, most probably wet themselves. Seeing that half were just drones that were barely on screen, all poorly rendered, and didn't transform was *very* disappointing.

No Human Melodrama: No one cares if Sam or Mikaela says "I love you" first. This isn't Titanic. Also, no one really cares about the uptight, by-the-book government official who did nothing for the plot. All he did was whine and no one cares about that in a TF movie. Give the TFs melodrama so they have something to do and some character development.

G1 Accuracy: Even if this is a reboot or reinvention of TFs, throw us a freaking bone. I feel like the Tribble we got in the Star Trek movie was a better throwback than everything we got in ROTF. Don't reuse names unless they are accurate. Sideswipe is red, not silver - we don't need another silver car. Or a silver car that killed a nameless Decepticon silver car. No more concepts or prototypes either, use real vehicles that are on the road today. I'm sure very few people are into TFs just for the alt modes, as some kind of car collectors.

Robots Don't Need to be Human-like: No robot blood, no robots hatching from anything, no robots talking about their parents. They're robots, treat them as such. Every artificial life-form does not need to spend all their time trying to be human. Pinnochio - cool. Star Trek TNG's Data - amusing. TFs - no crying or spitting ever.

jokes every 5 seconds, I have no problem with humor being there, but it's not a comedy.

wierd terminatrix pretenders, I can appreciate the nod to pretenders and all, but they went about it all wierd, and really had no explanation for it. she did have a nice ass though.

only a third to half of the movie actully showing transformers, I can do with less of a movie about Sam whining about how he want's a normal life, less of how awesome the army is, and more transformers.

Again, a Tribble making it's Tribble noise in a cage for about three seconds was still a better throwback than a non-transforming, satelite humping Soundwave. Or a robot dog that "transformed" into a missile (Ravage was no better than a robot-dog drone comparable to the other 20 or so drones onscreen). Or SS displaying a few seconds of cowardicy (one character "sniveling" to a beast like movie Megs is not a throwback - if they gave him more SS traits, maybe we could talk). Or a Terminator-like Decepticon agent (never listed or mentioned to be a "Pretender" - more like a drone with no alt mode in human skin; remember Pretenders still transformed).

In Star Trek (for example), a Tribble is a Tribble, a Vulcan is a Vulcan, a Romulan is a Romulan - they didn't really try to re-invent the wheel. Here there was very little (or non-existant) G1 references. Jetfire an outdated stealth jet? Sideswipe a red Corvette? Soundwave a satelite with Ravage missile thing? The list goes on.

You can't really tell me they were trying to harken back to G1 with this one...
