Autobot Strider wrote:I think they'll do it. Repaints save money, and a "Nemesis Prime" figure would be just that: a repaint. They wouldn't have to remold anything in order to have the toy suit people's expectations. While they could certainly jazz it up with some remolding, from a cost-efficiency stand-point, they don't have to.
However, given that we've already seen a new head for this figure (one that looks kinda Ultra-Magnus-y to me) I would expect to see a blue-and-white repaint of this mold sometime in the future, which would also be nice (not as nice as a new Magnus mold, but still...)
I guess the important thing to remember is that chances are good that this mold will eventually be re-used with different mold/paint details, even if it doesn't happen in the current "Classics 3.0" era of Generations/RTS. Don't forget, the Seeker mold that originated in 2006 or whenever is still being used today to produce repaints and re-molds. Hasbro has an least an eye on the big picture.
adamassc wrote:now see, I don't think the head looks Magnusie at all. When I originally saw the scans, I thought the head looked like the Stegosaur from Beast Wars neo. However, seeing it in person next to the toy itself, I don't think it really is a new head at all. Personally, being the only person to prefer RiD/carRobots over any other line, i'm hoping for a 'Nemesis Prime' repaint.

Would I be me if I didn't?
