Just watched the "video reviews" again. Still think Apollyon is faaaaantastic.
And I agree! I've heard nothing but positives for the figure, but for me I was happy to place that money towards figures I didn't have represented in my collection. I guess that's why I like Apollyon, I don't have a representation of Megatron to fit with my other "MP" figures. MP-05 and MP-01 go together by themselves, that works for meAutobot032 wrote:*sighs* I wish you guys would actually have these figures in hand before making such rash judgments.itscramtastic wrote:I too was not a fan of the Hegemon figure. If you get them in hand and still don't like 'em, that's fine, that I can understand, but without actually giving Hegemon a chance...I just don't get it.
I think it's partly that you guys don't want to pay the asking price for Hegemon and if you actually did have a chance to try him out, you'd end up spending the money and you just don't want to cough it up.
He's honestly worth it.

Exactly! They do look great together. I remember when I first received MP05, found a way around the instability by posing on carpetwilliam-james88 wrote:Haha, And you know what, that's my best argument to those who wonder is MP 01 is still relevant now that there is an MP 10. The Answer is OF COURSE he is! Because you need someone to go up against MP 05itscramtastic wrote:*steeps fingers* EXCELLENTwilliam-james88 wrote:Thats the same stance I have on these figures!itscramtastic wrote:And I agree! Same for me. I've been preaching "Neo/Modern Update" for a long time now, but United/Henkei Megatron fits the bill perfectly. I don't need a perfect G1 Megs in my C/G collection.leakin' lubricant wrote:I don't mind dropping that kind of money on a figure, but he's got to be something pretty special to do so, Hegemon had far to many ticks in the negative for me to drop money on him, especially when I had United Megatron, who for me is the definitive Classics Megs. I suppose what I'm getting at is that if I'm gonna drop big money on a 3rd party figure it's generally because Has/Tak have failed to provide a suitable version and are also unlikely to provide a suitable alternative, Hegemon being the case in point, Apollyon on the other hand is a no brainer, not just the best looking MP Megs we've seen but hands down the best Megs from any line we've seen.

At first I was wondering if there ever were commercials for third parties (because that would bring attention they dont need) but then I realized you meant review.

Yes and no. Technically, this is the final version of the figure. They'll be including the shoulder pieces to help correct the ball joint issues, but what you see is pretty much what you'll get. This is production level last I heard, they're pretty much finished and getting ready to ship out in about 1.5 weeks or so.
You can consider it an ad if you want, but it's actually a review of the finished product. I can't imagine XTransbots will scrap the entire production run they've done so far, only to kill it and go back to the drawing board now. They'd lose a ton of money and it would probably destroy their chances of making a comeback with the people. Not to mention, they've begun work on Scourge and Windcharger will be close behind.

I considered it an ad cause he is paid (in toy) to show it off, but lets not get back into that. This thing looks good but don't know why I don't feel the need to have it... it's strange cause I buy 3rd Party all the time and while I try not to buy MP 3rd parties I have Toyworld's Shockwave... so I'm not 100% against the idea.. I mean I even have Xtransbots beachcomber on preorder... which probably won;t be coming out in April huh?

A lot of my stuff i send back although This one ive been allowed to keep which is fricken awesome , im not here to sell toys , im not a store , its a ruddy good figure was hard not to hide my enthusiasm for it...this came from a store not the actual third party to gauge interest on what peoples reactions are as to how many to order ect ..
so I still think im more of a reviewer than a showcaser IMO
